The only reason that Trump is president is because an overconfident Clinton campaign failed to turn out their core Black and Hispanic voters in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
In spite of that, day by day, Trump is making it clear he will only deport illegal immigrants who have committed felonies, and he has done nothing significant to stop the 1 million LEGAL immigrants who come to the USA each year.
I will vote to reelect Trump in 2020, but only because he is the most Conservative candidate who can be elected.
But, win or lose, Trump will be the last Republican president in my lifetime, or yours.
The 1/2 million or so dreamers who would be eligible to become legal residents with a green card is a drop in the bucket compared to 30 million LEGAL immigrants admitted during last 25 years using chain migration.
Only the uniformed would twist themselves into a pretzel over DACA and ignore another problem SIXTY TIMES GREATER. I personally know some chain migrants, who came in as seniors, and are collecting social security checks and Medicaid for life, never having contributed a dime in taxes,
The chain migrants undergo no merit based evaluation, unlike the immigration policies of Australia. Most are low wealth, low skills, low education. Many can’t speak English! Most are not familiar with American culture. At least the DACA people can speak English, and are educated in America.
I do not condone breaking immigration or any other laws. However size matters. I prefer to focus on a problem which is 60 times greater FIRST.

Three things are important to note regarding today's "Media Show and tell"
1) When Trump was asked by the democrats for his short list, Trump sent them a SECOND copy of his outline not a new one.
2)By having this photo op for the media, the pictures shows a sane, calm, competent, leader who "thoughtfully" appears to listen to all sides...which doesn't seem to resemble what the NEW tell all book seems to claim, and
3) Trump is dumping the bill in the congress's lap just like O'Bozo Care, except this time he's going to let all the politicians expose who they are, and where their priorities are AGAIN for we the people right before the primaries are complete and before the 2018 mid terms. Giving us the option to "Cantor" our representatives if we choose to
I don't think Trump expects theses folks to get this done just like obozo care. I think Trump has a Plan B waiting for DHS to implement and don't forget that the EPA has lost 750+ employees since Trump became president and removed a lot of toxic government regulations from the books in several Departments as well.

The main problem is CHAIN MIGRATION.
The illegals can not vote.

You are missing my point, giving amnesty for the 870,000 but not their illegal family members is never stated, which is why we need a fuller decision as the current discussion comes with them and separately is discussion about ending chain migration later for others that might come later. No, stop it now, draw the line with the illegals!

For all the hair-on-fire stuff, you’d think they’d have stopped long enough to hear him continually talk about the wall today, say that no deal could be struck without a wall, and going on about the evils of chain migration. He then took on that lousy Hispanic guy who was crying and whining that no one on the American side of the border wanted a wall. He called him out on that lie.
My final point for you, and I reslly hope you are smart enough to understand it.
While number of DACA people are not increasing by much (70% reduction under Trump of illegals coming) the people being admitted LEGALLY are increasing EXPONENTIALLY. It is 60 times greater now, it will be 1000 times greater in just a few decades.
Every legal immigrant can sponsor ALL their relatives! That Uzbek terrorist sponsored 23 more LEGAL immigrants.
My point again is, we should spend many times more energy fighting CHAIN MIGRATION than fighting DACA. All those relatives of DACA people can’t become legal if chian migration is stopped by law.

I guess you missed the speech Trump gave in 2015, when he declared his candidacy?
He promised - twice in the same speech - that he would revoke DACA on his first day as president.
Without the votes of GOP immigration hawks, like me, Trump could not have been elected.

Is it a Congressional statute signed by a president? An Executive Order? An Agency regulation?

“Only” 15 million immigrants have become naturalized voting citizens since 1997.
That, of course, is more than enough to LEGALLY tip every national election to the Democrats.

In my opinion, Trump will never deport the parents of DACA kids and Anchor Babies - unless they committed felonies.
The DACA and Anchor parents in the USA add up to at least 2 million more immigrants, plus the 800,000 DREAMERS.
We already have “DACA”, it’s called, “Get In the Back of the Line, Just Like Everybody Else”.
But your favored DACA illegal aliens will currently include those illegal aliens relatives. End chain migration FIRST, require DACA families to leave. Ending chain migration AFTER giving amnesty to the 870,000 DACA illegal aliens is insult to injury.
