What Might Civil War Be Like?
American Thinker ^ | December 20, 2017 | E.M. Cadwaladr

The thought of Civil War has been in the minds of many people lately, on both sides of the political and cultural divide. This is not a thing to be wished for, though no one should kid themselves into believing it’s impossible either. Let us take a sober look at what such a conflict might entail.

To begin with, it would not look like the first American Civil War, which was essentially a war between two regions of the country with different economic interests. The divide created two separate countries, both initially contiguous, intact, and relatively homogeneous. The lines of demarcation now are only somewhat regional, and tend to correspond to differences between urban and rural populations, as well as differences of race and class.

I think the big question mark is on military assets.

Liberals will secure Washington DC so will have the nuclear codes.

Soldiers in the end follow orders. So will they stand behind the liberal establishment to put down revolt in the countryside?

Yes reading this article made me realize how horrible economically it will be. I hate the idea of farming my own food. LOL. But I do think Trump’s populist engine has taken us off that road. I can’t imagine it starting without some sort of lynching of the Senate. Which might side the army against the forces of the right.

Remember how horribly the New York militia did against Canada in the American Revolution? The US military has equipment and organization.

God that is despairing you last comment. But considering the corpses of unborn babies and sodomites running rampant, I think you are right.

Yeah, it couldn’t happen in a vacuum. China will definitely take advantage.

That rural vs urban is too broad. Once the match is lit urbanites will fracture into racial and economic groups as food, energy, meds all run out. Imagine, as Travis has previously mentioned, all EBT cards kaput, SS checks, etc. The have nots will not stay in their enclaves when food and liquor, and dope deliveries dry up. Not many urban preppers to be seen. NYPD, as an example, members mostly live in outer boroughs and suburban areas. Past initial token efforts they will abandon the city to protect their own...and can be expected to “liberate” most arms and equipment. Baltimore, New Orleans, Chicago, Philadelphia and others will have rogue police squads preying on everyone.

A cordon sanitaire for Manhattan Island is dirt simple, See an ethnic cluster map and ome can predicate fairly accurately who can and can not protect their turf. And everybody hates white banksters, lawyers, etc. If smart they take an immediate “vacation”. The left behinds are lunch meat.

Liberal contiguous NJ suburbs will have “shopping visitors” from Patterson, Camden, Newark, etc.

Biggest problem will be vetting escapees as the cities self-immolate. New immigration protocols might be a bit harsh but totally necessary.

What can almost be guaranteed are urban center fluster-cucks before any serious large scale engagement takes place.

POW problem then.

The city vs state thing is bogus. Cities have to go with the state.

i disagree ... i believe state boundaries/governments will be as totally meaningless as they have already become

Come here to northern Michigan and you will find that to be completely wrong.

I'm sure many of those folks, at one point or another, took an oath to the Constitution. Yet we just went through 8 years of an Unconstitutional _resident, and not a damn thing happened, because no one is ready to give up their creature comforts.

Face it: Americans prefer peaceful slavery over dangerous freedom. That is the bottom line.

"This premise is wrong. The break up will be state by state and the war will be regional. The city vs state thing is bogus. Cities have to go with the state. If a state secedes from the union then all the cities in that state secedes. "

Totally disagree. This will be far more like part of the First American Revolution, which was actually two wars. The war of the States against Britain, and war of the Patriots vs. the Royalists. The next American War will be like the latter. And the big split WILL be rural vs. urban.

That large Army base is full of good old boys who joined from rural and suburban areas, most of whom have conservative families with guns.

I know for certain they would not follow a CIC who would ordering them to round up their families, friends and neighbors.

Plus my cop relatives and friends would not obey those orders either.

If liberals count on them to do their unconstitutional bidding, it will not go as planned.

With what surviving infrastructure?

Take out the damn cel phones and the protesting millennial snowflakes will be in tears. Blow up Starbucks and they have no way of coping at all.

Seriously. Who is going to fight this war for the leftists?

Antifa and BLM are protected from us by the law. Remove that and they won’t last a day..

What if they gave a civil war and nobody came?

Really, most Americans just aren't that into politics (or war), and more power to them.

Farmers aren't that much more into having bloody battles on their land than city folks are.

And this is what the Founders intended -- if by the Founders, you mean the people who wrote the Constitution and put it into effect, rather than those who got the Revolution started.

Air power will be largely, if not totally, irrelevant.

"Liberals will secure Washington DC so will have the nuclear codes."

And do what with them??? Nukes take out cities, not guerilla groups.

"Soldiers in the end follow orders. So will they stand behind the liberal establishment to put down revolt in the countryside?"

Will they?? Or will they consider those orders illegal and refuse to obey them.

Study the Balkans and more recently, Ukraine.

Checkpoints go up first. Learn how to run one.

In Iraq the most effective weapons against our soldiers (clearly the most dominant force in military history) were:
1. IED’s
2. Mortars
3. RPG 7
4. Sniper Fire

Of the 4 listed above, all Americans have immediate “legal” access to only one. Get one and learn how to use it.

Destroying your enemies center of gravity is vital. The American Left’s Center of Gravity is:

1. The News Room
2. The University
3. The Ghetto

All three must burn.

If you can rent or watch Hotel Rwanda it would be easier.

The Belgians separated the rwandans based on facial features into two groups. One group looked more like white people - smaller noses etc - TUTSIS. So they gave them special privileges, better paying jobs, etc.

Then they left Rwanda. The group that had been under-privileged (HUTU) began to revolt. They had a radio station that did most of the work. rtlm.

Widely listened to by the general population, it projected racist propaganda against Tutsis, moderate Hutus, Belgians, and the United Nations mission UNAMIR. It is widely regarded by many Rwandan citizens (a view also shared and expressed by the UN war crimes tribunal) as having played a crucial role in creating the atmosphere of charged racial hostility that allowed the genocide to occur. A study by a Harvard University researcher estimates that 9.9% of the participation in the genocidal violence was due to the broadcasts. The estimate of the study suggests that approximately 51,000 deaths were caused by the station's broadcasts.[2] A working paper published at Harvard University found that RTLM broadcasts were an important part of the process of mobilising the population, which complemented the mandatory Umuganda meetings.
