I am so friggin happy! I can’t wait!
It’s a start.
I am cautiously optimistic.
With McCain out of town, I’m not sure how this winds up.
It is disconcerting it will only pass by a vote or two, if it does.
There are too many morons like this:
Los Angeles Times Letter to the editor 12/19/2017:
To the editor: My wife and I are currently in the 33% marginal income tax bracket and will be in the 24% bracket under the new plan. With the proposed changes, our federal tax liability will probably decrease by about $8,000.
That’s nice for us, but it’s disgraceful morally since we have no need for that benefit while people who are poor or sick will not be helped by this bill. There is nothing material that we need, so we will not spend that money rather, we will purchase more stocks that pay dividends, which are taxable at 15%.
The GOP tax plan is nothing more than a reward for the party’s donors and the wealthy. The poor get poorer and the rich get richer. This does not make America great.
Doug Emerson, Thousand Oaks
I’m happy.
Saw a liberal friend of mine post this on Facebook:
“Trump’s budget plan SLASHES Social Security. It could devastate MILLIONS of seniors who count on Social Security to make ends-meet. Sign your name (and here she posts a link to one of those .org left wing things) to block Trump’s disastrous cuts to Social Security”.
Cannot find anything about Trump’s budget slashing SS. Does it or is this all based on fake news from the left? I’d like to answer her but don’t know what to say except I suspect this is left wing bunk.
I’m happy. I get a significant tax cut.
Hakuna matada
Can we actually work on cutting spending now?
The Lowry segment:
Folks, the stuff that has been done this year, the economic rebound, the pulling this country from the depths of despair and putting it back on a course to make it great again?
It is transformational and phenomenal. So much of this has happened in just one year, and the tax cut passing will put an exclamation point to the end of this. That (although it wont be reported) is going to send the left into the throes of depression and funk like you think youre in. They are gonna end up actually being there, and their funk and their depression is gonna be legit because it will be born of the reality that they have been unable to stop Trump from the implementation of his agenda. Yeah, some things.
But you look at the forces arrayed against this president you look at the projection of power the left has put together and used against this administration and then you measure what this administration got done. I would be hard-pressed for you to name any other president who could pull off as much of what Trump has pulled off with this kind of opposition. No previous president has known this kind of opposition. No previous president has been the recipient of 91% consistent, negative coverage for over a year.
No previous president has been targeted for destruction by what we call the deep state, the administrative, unelected bureaucracy of this country staffed by career leftists, socialists, liberals, you name it working in consort with simpaticos at the Drive-By Media. There isnt a single president in our lifetimes you could name who could have withstood and overcome and triumphed on so much against this kind of opposition, and some are now begrudgingly beginning to recognize it and acknowledge it.
Liberals cannot see this pass, it will only make them look more communist than they already are.
Trump wins again. The Libs can all go home and share their spit over KWanzaa or whatever.

CNN anchor Don Lemon stepped out on Saturday night holding hands with his rumored boyfriend. The 51-year-old veteran journalist attended the star-studded Saturday Night Live after party at Tao Restaurant and Night Club in New York City with Tim Malone. It appears as though Lemon has been dating Malone since at least April, according to a number of photos posted to their respective social media accounts. But this is the first time Lemon has been photographed publicly with Malone, who works as a sales executive in his 30s and graduated from Boston College in 2006, according to his LinkedIn profile.

I have talked with several owners of construction companies who are very eager to take the corporate tax cut and buy equipment, hire employees and generally reinvest the money.
The Commie media would only be happy if Democrats were passing the same exact bill, but since Republicans are doing it, WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..dear liberals..you are free to give as much of your paycheck to the Govt as you wish, just send them a check NO ONE is stopping you!
I’ll withhold any happiness until the thing is signed into law.
Nope wrong again, if flake votes against, it is 50 to 49 no tie breaker needed. In fact flake and two others can abstain from voting making it 48 to 48 before you need pence, voting against is different than not voting, which is why McCains absence is not a problem
New York Times: 75% of Americans will see a tax reduction.
Yet over half think their taxes will go up. I smell a messaging problem.
Of course the 22 million taxpayers who will have to pay more are against it. Why is everyone so surprised at this?
These people are conveniently located in major media centers, so of course we’re going to hear lots of complaining.
I’m indifferent towards it....picking “winners & losers” isn’t good (corp. vs. personal & “SALT” vs. no SALT, just reduce tax table rates for all)...increased welfare thru “refundable tax credits” not good (just eliminate all tax credits and reduce tax table rates for all)...increasing the standard deduction, not good for charitable giving, once again eliminate all deductions, simplify the tax code and reduce tax table rates to compensate for no deductions. They had a chance for actual tax “reform”, but chose to rearrange the deck chairs (and still no balanced/surplus budget proposed with full funding of Obamacare also coming this week with another “continuing resolution”).
The Dems are in the interesting position of trying to convince the half of the population that doesn’t pay taxes that a tax cut is bad.
RUSH: Where the hell do they get that? Sixty-three percent of the American people ? Why not 65%? Why not 80%? Sixty-three percent of Americans say that the Trump family will be better off because How do they know that? But you notice the theme. Every Drive-By we chose there is trying to kill the bill by telling people that Trump is doing it so he personally will benefit and to hell with everybody else. This is not your standard, ordinary, everyday media bias observation.
Thats not whats going on. This is not media bias. This goes so far beyond media bias. This is not media malpractice. This isnt journalistic malpractice. This goes way beyond any of that. This isnt journalism. This isnt the news. It is what journalism has become. But, I mean, this isnt the news. This is nothing more than hard-core agenda advocacy, pretending to be and disguised as, quote-unquote, media or news. It isnt true.
A lot of it is made up. A lot of it is sourced from anonymous people without the guts or courage to put their names to it. Its desperation. Its a Hail Mary. It is anything and everything and it doesnt matter what to stop Trump. Ive never seen anything like it, even with the second most hated presidency in our lifetimes. That would be Ronald No, no. Richard Nixon. Quick, before we go to the break: Whats Nixons middle name? (interruption) Way to go. You passed the test.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Now, lets go back to the Democrats and the tax bill for a second, cause I want to make a point. Were gonna get to Trumps speech yesterday. It is pretty much exactly what I thought it was when I only saw one-line excerpts as graphics on the bottom of TV screens, the news networks reporting the Trump speech. Its just fabulous. Its great for what it is and what it is, and we have audio sound bites to go with it. Now, Im reminding you. When the Democrats propose any kind of legislation over the last 30 years, what do our guys do?
They propose a counter, but they accept the premise. Democrats come along and want to nationalize health care. The Republicans put forth their own version, not quite as bad. They say, Its smarter, but they accept the premise that there needs to be legislation along the lines of what the Democrats want. We sit here and pull our hairs out because we thought wed elected people to stop this. We thought wed elected people to fight this. We thought wed elected people that, when the Democrats spoke up with their agenda, were gonna stand up and say, No!
The Democrats, on the other hand, dont have an agenda. Now, you may have seen stories this week and last week particularly after the Alabama election that are now predicting a blue wave, meaning, The Democrats are gonna win it all back next year! The Democrats are gonna take back the House next year, and then theyre gonna get started to impeaching Trump, and then the Democrats are gonna win back the Senate next year, even though theyve got 25 seats they have to protect, Oand then in 2020 the Democrats are gonna win the White House!
Its either gonna be Bernie Sanders or Fauxcahontas. Maybe even Hillary again! But the Democrats, by 2020, are gonna have total control of the government back, after they won the Alabama election, after they won the Virginia election. Youve seen it in the news. Youve seen it in the Drive-Bys. The Democrats are partying hardy. They think its over. They think that they have succeeded in creating the number one thing they need to win, which is not an agenda. Cause they dont have an agenda. All they have is Trump hatred. That is it. And they know it.
And they think its enough. Theyre very happy with that. That is it. That is the sole message theyve got, as we enter the election period for 2018: Trump hatred. They think they have succeeded in convincing all of those Trump voters in the blue states that voted for Trump to now hate him. They think they have succeeded in convincing a majority of Americans that Trump is a mistake, a disaster, a reprobate, a pig, and that hes gone. He deserves to be impeached!
They do not have an agenda. Now, wait. Dont misunderstand. They have an agenda. Its called socialism. Their agenda is called taking over the United States government and transforming this country out of and away from the way it was founded. I mean, thats their agenda, but thats the broad-based agenda that doesnt change. But Im talking about an agenda that can be articulated in campaigns. They cant say that.
Theyre getting close, though. Theyre getting close to thinking theyve reached the point where they can be honest about running down this country as founded, running down the white, Christian foundation of this country. They think theyve got to the point where they can win elections by beating up on all that. But theyre not quite there yet. So theyre relying on Trump hatred. Yesterday, they scheduled this massive tax cut protest, and they couldnt even pay a bunch of protesters to show up
Once again, this is in the American Mirror: Pelosi Bails on Tax Cut Protest After Only Handful of Activists Show Up. Why couldnt they get a bunch of actors? I mean, theyve got the rent-a-mobs. Theyve got their people that they hire, got people that hire people that show up and protest a Trump rally, a legislative session, a Senate hearing, a House hearing, you name it. There are thousands of people out there willing to be paid to show up and protest.
They couldnt find anybody to show up and protest in a tiny conference room at Capitol Hill where Pelosi was gonna speak against the tax cut. Why do you think that is? And what do the Democrats have in response to this? Okay, heres Trump and the Republicans with a very sweeping, comprehensive tax cut proposal. Whats the Democrats response to it? What is their version? They dont have one, folks.
Theres not a single one of them that wants to even get on board conceptually with tax cuts, and there isnt a single one of them that wants to put forth opposition to it. Their entire agenda is hatred of Trump and attempting to gin up as much of it as they can.
So I ask you, is that enough? Is that enough for them to win the House? Lets just keep it at that. Is ginning up hatred for Trump across the country, can they do that? Can they gin up enough hatred to propel the Democrats back in control of the House? And nothing else. No other agenda items, no other promises, no other, heres what we stand for, heres what were gonna do, nothing positive. They dont dare go positive because things are supposed to be so bad that they cant do anything but talk about how bad it is.
Their websites cannot have one positive click, not one positive headline. Every website on the left and every click, every headline must be doom-and-gloom. Can they win? Im asking you. Is that enough? Is hatred for Trump enough? Keep in mind, as you think about this, 91% of all Trump coverage in the media that most Americans access is negative, and all of these negative, anti-, bad Obama and Democrat stories are not being reported, theyre not being referenced.
The traditional low-information voter doesnt even know of the chicanery on the Mueller committee and the investigation team. They dont even know how Obama willingly let Hezbollah continue to track cocaine into the country so as not to anger the Iranians. They dont know this. That hasnt been reported, nor has the text messages between Strzok and his mistress and whats been going on on the Mueller team to sabotage on Trump. Its not being reported. I mean, they got 47% of the American people in a poll claiming to oppose and hate the Trump tax cut bill. Think about it.
