Thousands watched at a packed stadium in southern China this past weekend as 10 people were publicly sentenced to death and then promptly taken away to be executed.

The 10 Chinese convicts were found guilty of mostly drug-related crimes by China’s criminal justice system, which has a 99.9 percent conviction rate. At a sports stadium in Lufeng, Guangdong Province, they were condemned to death before thousands of onlookers, including young school children, The Paper reported.

"The Chinese have used this approach for drug dealers for decades. It hasn’t eliminated drug trafficking, but their problem is nothing like it is in most countries. The Philippines are applying much the same approach. Contrast these approaches against ours where we are liberalizing the gateway drug, marijuana, and puzzling over why opioid use is totally out of control."

Contrast this with a free country, which we are supposed to be, where the individuals rights are supposed to be paramount, and you are supposed to be free to make even stupid decisions.

Ten undesirable thugs were condemned to death in front of some school children? So what? The kids were basically in a court room. I’ve seen worse on Judge Judy.

I must've missed the episode where Judge Judy condemned someone to death .......

To control an area, even a block, demands being ready to use violence.

That was once true of alcohol dealers. Oddly enough, today the alcohol dealers coexist peacefully, often within sight of each other.

Huh.

When I was in Hong Kong they did this and one of the guards gave the men some booze so help them get ready for the firing squad. The condemned prisoners got rip-roaring drunk and sang the Taiwanese National anthem at the top of their lungs as they waited to be shot.

When I worked in Saudi Arabia, they were some guys at work who went to the executions every Friday. I went once, saw a double-header, and that was enough for me.

I’m willing to bet my paycheck that nobody kneeled during the anthem.

Many YouTuber ex-pats who live in China post videos in which they say they are living the good life—their jobs pay them enough that they can travel and drink and meet people.

I’m seeing a huge increase in direct to consumer advertising from Chinese companies. They are “cutting out the middle man”, big time.

Yeah but why are cartels still making a fortune off illegal?

Cause it’s not legal in most states still.

And there are few enough places that sell it for the cartels to intimidate them

If there were thousands across the country, it couldn’t be done.

Might as well. The illegal thing isn’t working out.

And no one ever got beat up or assaulted by a pot head.

We were assured there would be no problem with addiction

What a lie...but loose enforcement of drug possession laws has a role also...not to mention the constant glamourization of being whacked out on psychotropics...

Exactly....Opiod epidemic is the big buzz word today bought to you by the Federal Government Cartel.

It does continue as the US proceeds along with out Obama in the WH. The network is up and running, strong as ever.
