Alabama votes on Tuesday in a special election to fill the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions, now the attorney general. The last polls close at 8 p.m. Eastern. Strong support for Roy S. Moore, the Republican, is expected in rural, mostly white parts of the state and in its northern half. The Democrat, Doug Jones, aims to create a lead in the urban counties that include Birmingham and Montgomery, and across a band of largely black counties.
One critical battleground is a trio of smaller, whiter cities: Mobile, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville. Mr. Moore won a hard race in 2012 by keeping things close there. Mr. Jones hopes to win the cities by a convincing margin.

Exactly.
This is positive reinforcement for the approach.
I still cannot believe Alabama elected a hardcore leftist.
The write-ins allowed Jones to win.
I believe like Moore. Sodomy is pure EVIL!
Those counties cannot make up the deficit.
Yes they do. Irritates me too.
Fox already Bannon-bashing, they are salivating.
Hume, Juan.
Doughty, this nation had it’s chance to get rid of the republican party when that idiot Al Gore was available for the Presidency. I said it then that they were nothing but a protection racket for the democrats and they have proven me correct time after time. Screw ALL Republicans from here on out. I say let it all burn down and let ALL of them be at the mercy of our vengeance. This country no longer exist and the sooner we realize it the better.
Moore spent a lot of his campaign hiding after those accusations. If you are innocent, you are out there every day doing interviews and rallies like Trump. It didn’t help Moore that Jones had all that out of state money coming in and people campaigning for him.
Roy Moore can go and retire in peace and dignity now. Enjoy his remaining years in quiet away from all the scorn and persecution he did not deserve. Great is his reward also in the next life while many wicked, and unrighteous who smeared him will wind up in hell as a good possibility.
He would not have resigned no matter what. Im thinking the Franken resigning idea was concocted by himself AND the female Congress people who demanded that he resign, in order to set the stage to go after Trump, which happened yesterday. Franken and Trump arent going anywhere, but Trumps job just got more difficult tonight.
And this also goes to show that a truly God fearing man will more than likely never win a senate or congressional seat in this country ever again.
And that being said, it's also why this country is under God's judgment and when the axe falls, this country will have no one to blame but itself.
The RATs have now found GOP weakness.
Accuse GOP candidates of sexual misconduct.
Allegations alone are enough to divide the GOP voters
Or enough to depress GOP voters.
As proven by Alabama tonight.
Same here. Apparently a LOT of white conservative Trump voters fell for this crap put out by Gloria All-Fraud, et al, and did not show up to vote today. Unbelievable.
Totally agree!!
Also, I hope President Trump can prevail upon Steve Bannon to stop creating mischief in any other races!!!
Damn, I wish Luther Strange had schlonged Jones tonight!!
Stop. Watching. Fox.
Sessions spot was extremely safe for a republican.....until Mc CONnell sabotaged it.
Yeah, it was pretty clear there was a problem brewing as the count progressed.
Well, in two years we’ll try again.
No, if Moore were elected, it would have been Franken immunity. But unfortunately for poor old Al, the voters of Alabama sent him home.
Never expected Alabama to vote like California, or is it Calabama now!
