Last week, we noted Joy Reid scolding “Republican strategist” Evan Siegfried for having the temerity to [ever-so-cautiously] mention Al Franken in a segment about Roy Moore.
Siegfried, back on Reid’s MSNBC show this morning, was clearly trying his best to get back in Reid’s good graces. He broke out an obviously canned line, casting Moore as a pedophile:
“The only reason he should be [knocking] on doors is to tell people he’s not allowed within 500 yards of a school.”

He's jumped the shark by going over to the "dark" side.
He's joined the democRATS in distilling the charges on Moore down to "child molester" and "pedophile".
Neither of these charges have any validation in truth but they persist in coloring Moore as a child predator.
Moore was not dating children, but women at of above the age of consent in Alabama at the time. He also had their parents' permission.
This does not equate to being a child predator.

Before 1915 the Alabama age of consent was 14; it changed to 16 that year. The first, loudest and most visible “victim” claims to have been 14 when she and Moore “dated” (with her parents’ permission). The questions posed are, did she lie to him about her age? Does she correctly recall what year this occurred? Did she tell anyone at the time that there had been some touching, or that she had been “assaulted”?
When I was a 19 year old sailor my ship spent some time in drydock at the Bethlehem Steel shipyard in Baltimore. I met and dated a number of young women, mostly movies and the malt shop. One became particularly clingy, and a couple of make-out sessions might have gone farther except for fortunate interruptions. I later met her sister, who informed me that she was 13! Could’a spent time in the brig or prison, or both! So yes. I did date an underage girl, and did some inappropriate touching. If I ever ran for office I’m sure the RATs would dig her up.

Remember, Cindy McCain said she told John she was 5 years older than her real age and John told her he was 5 years younger.
Also, this woman has also claimed 2 pastors sexually assaulted her. I know someone who claims and believes many men are coming on to her and has also accused a pastor.
This woman had behavioral problems at the time she claimed to have come into contact with Moore. Her history shows a lack of credibility.
Politicians by definition are duplicitous liars. Congress regularly polls as the lowest in the culture.
To expect that these things will change is absurd. Humans, especially politicians, will always be flawed.
Moore has led an exemplary public life. Alabamans are very familiar with Moore. Expecting these allegations against him all of the sudden to be credible, given his very public life, is absurd.
He should and will be elected on Tuesday. Politics is about choices. The choice of the democRAT is far worse than voting for Moore.
The Gravis poll for the Alabama Senate race shows an 8% swing in favor of Roy Moore in the last few days.
To me, the big news is that the people of Alabama have outright REJECTED what they have assessed as an attack by the SWAMP based on lies from two women who claimed they were assaulted by Moore when they were 14, 40 years ago.
The entire story has in fact unraveled. None of the “facts” that could be checked have proved truthful and the yearbook “evidence” was finally admitted to be fabricated (at least in part), though the accuser and her attorney will still not release it for forensic analysis (of the ink, etc.).
The other woman is a serial accuser whose story was contradicted (in part) by her own mother as well as her acquaintances at the time and has no credibility whatsoever.
That leaves as the only “allegations” that Moore had a few (no-sex, no-assault, totally legal) dates with 17-18 year olds when he was in his early 30s.
The Press—enshrined in our First Amendment—has FALLEN HARD since Donald Trump began calling out their lies. This is not exactly a Constitutional crisis, but there is no question a core institution of the USA has been severely wrecked by its own actions.
Imagine the under the radar component in this. I think it will be the largest in modern election history. Forget Jesse Helms, the press on Moore has been relentlessly bad, and lots of people who are willing to vote for him will not admit it to pollsters. I am thinking a double digit margin is possible.
Agreed, and I’m surprised the potential hidden vote hasn’t been mentioned more.
