One of the women accusing Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore of assaulting her as a teenager said on Friday she added the date and venue to an inscription from Moore in her high school yearbook, prompting attacks on her credibility and the competence of her lawyer, Gloria Allred. Many conservatives accused the attorney of mishandling the situation and claimed she'd essentially handed victory to Moore just four days before the election.
Beverly Young Nelson told ABC News she amended an inscription from Moore in her high school yearbook, adding the date and location. Nelson maintained the rest of the note was written by Moore, though he and his lawyers have repeatedly stated he did not sign the yearbook. The inscription states: "To a sweeter more beautiful girl I could not say Merry Christmas. Christmas 1977. Love, Roy Moore, DA. 12-22-77 Olde Hickory House."
In November, Nelson claimed Moore attempted to force her to perform a sex act when she was a teenager in the 1970s and he was the deputy district attorney of Etowah County and in his 30s. She offered the yearbook inscription as evidence to bolster her accusation. At the time, Nelson and her lawyer, Allred, said the inscription was written by Moore and did not mention that Nelson had added the date and location. But Nelson's acknowledgement she wrote part of the note somewhat contradicts that. Some have since claimed Nelson admitted she "forged" the inscription, but this is not the case.
Allred held a press conference on Friday and brought a report from forensic document expert that said the note and signature were written by Moore and said the date and location were written by Nelson to "remind herself who Roy Moore was." It was not clear from her comments when Nelson made those additions.

Then explain why Moore was impeached and thrown out of office because he stood for the Ten Commandments.
First, the Ethics Committee meetings can only take place if Moore is a senator. He will be sworn in and no one in the Senate can prevent it. Second, the Ethics Committee meetings are in private.
The election has not even happened and the excuse making is already started.
This is always a good sign that they know they will lose on election day.

He was gonna win handily before she came on the scene - the obvious corruption of the charges just made her and the rest irrelevant - expect for the Dems who will eat a lot of their own in hopes of taking Trump and Moore down in the near future....
Allred would not release yearbook to be examined by professional forgery experts. There are claims the name was Ray not Roy and has been changed from a to o... I am unsure how much she claims to have added/changed. The notes and DA for sure. There is claim there was a Ray Moore, who wrote in book, but no one has come forward to verify that.
The added note/initials is enough for me to believe accuser and Allred made the whole thing up! If Gloria Allred is holding a press conference (and her daughter), my lying alert goes up! I give very little credence to anything that woman says!

Have you noticed how the forgery is being reported as "Beverly Young Nelson told ABC News she amended an inscription from Moore in her high school yearbook, adding the date and location."
They conveniently leave out that she also added last last name, as is evident by the color change between "Roy" and "Moore."

I just hope Mitch insists on an independent scientific examination of the yearbook FIRST, to determine if there’s even any point in hearing the testimony.

You really need someone to explain to you that there is a difference between the interests of Democrats in state government and the interests of the voters?
And that it was this difference (not Donald Trump as a person) which caused the 2016 elections to hand over the bulk of the state governments to what is basically the teaparty interests?
What the anti-religious left pulled on Roy Moore and the citizens of Alabama was a major driving factor.
The good thing about this was it was in Alabama. Had Roy Moore been running in a swing state like OH, WI, IA, FL, etc, he would have been driven from the race weeks ago.
Alabama did not like outsider liberals from CA like Allred coming into their state trying to make a mockery of their Senate race.
Gloria Allred will certainly help Alabama all red.
