That's news to me, and my police officer neighbors.
You got it.
Disagree. Until our representative form of government is dissolved, abused do not equate to tyranny. When that happens, we’ll know.
I’m only speaking from my own perspective, and what I witnessed overseas. My views are heavily forged from a soldier’s standpoint.
I know most people would think more along your lines, which is fine too, I’m just saying that if a person needs to bury, the rights have been dissolved.

Former Navy SEAL Craig Sawman Sawyer warns of gruesome massacre if Trump removed from office!
By Joe Newby - August 5, 2017 Excerpted:
Im hearing serious rumblings of a hostile, illegal coup against our democratically elected President by seditious, deep-state subversives funded by Soros & other globalists. Very disturbing, he wrote, adding:
Patriots, this would be nothing less than an act of war against the American people. It would be the removal of our boldest defender & last possibility of maintaining our protective Constitution. Under the boot of globalists, life as we know it, would immediately decline to the model that suits the globalist interest Marxist/Socialist/Communist. They get complete control, you get zero. Freedom, Gone! Liberty, Gone! This agenda is evil and simply cannot be allowed, at ANY cost.
Like ALL military, law enforcement and government officials, I took an oath to defend our Constitution against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic. By abandoning the rule of law and conducting a coup against the President & policies WE THE PEOPLE elected, they have made themselves enemies of the United States.
After observing that all patriots, regardless of position, have a duty to protect the Constitution, Sawyer minced no words detailing what he believes would happen to those involved in Trumps removal and he explained why:
Anti-American subversives involved in ANY WAY in an unconstitutional coup against our President will be run down and executed immediately by the worlds most supreme warriors. There will be nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide, no mercy, no sense of humor. Harsh examples will be made.
My prediction is it will be a gruesome massacre. Why? Because one side in this conflict has 8 Trillion bullets & the other side doesnt know which bathroom to use.
How do you “fine” people who own “semiautomatic assault weapons” when you don’t have a national registration? And we all know that the primary reason for a national registration is for the confiscation that ALWAYS follows.
Yeah, been there saw that- most wars and rumors of wars would have been avoided if the rest of the world was properly privately armed to prevent the loss of their natural rights. So we agree there.
On the other hand, our rights are not dissolved, but threatened of course, as they have been since the day after the constitution was ratified in 1791.
Just as I stored reasonable amounts of food ( probably in violation of some fedlaw), I believe other necessities ought to be preserved for when the need actually arises. Sure, I rotate my food stocks, but these items won’t spoil over time and are useful regardless of the social conditions or situation.
As I read the DOI, I see that the requirements for the triggering of the right to change form of government is described as only when a long train of abuses and usurpations lead to tyranny- we have issues, always have and always will as long as there are more than one person involved, but until our right to representative government, no matter how bad it is in effect is undone, the right to change our form of government is not properly arrived at. See how the founders petitioned and politely asked for redress and Geo. III simply dissolved all forms of local determination-and declared them outside of his protection, suspending government of the colonies and replacing it with his minions. The courts became staffed by his cronies and due process ceased. All of these actions eventually resulted in the creation of conditions that met the requirement of the colonies to throw off such tyranny and create a government suitable to themselves.
Not there.
Keep your blade sheathed my friend. Change the conditions by voting and being active in the political process, no matter how distasteful. Hold your representatives at every level accountable to the people by being vocal and persistent. Your elected representatives ought to have your phone number on speed dial...
We as citizens, both by implicit and explicit consent, have a government, it is ours to keep as Dr. Franklin stated on that day....
” I see that the requirements for the triggering of the right to change form of government is described as only when a long train of abuses and usurpations lead to tyranny”
Not exactly. It says, “But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism...”
We don’t have to wait for it to happen; we can go as soon as it is clear that they are out to reduce us under despotism.
IOW, at any time since 1992.
No. The long train of abuses and usurpations that precipitated the American revolution included the dissolution of representative government, courts that did not include juries of peers and officials appointed by a far off government. While we indeed have issues with our government, we elect all of our representatives, have the ability to remove presidents and all other elected officials and even the ability to remove appointed officials via a due process system. I do not see how anyone can say we can “throw off and re-establish” when all of the provisions of the US Constitution are in place and effective, albeit in duress in many cases.
The fact that we may dislike how our representatives and other officials act or perform is not the same as not having redress.
Nothing has been suspended or denied, although there certainly are issues with status and condition of many of our rights, privileges and immunities.
Insurrection and rebellion is illegal. Revolution is indeed the right of free and independent people, but as our Founders even argued, advocated and endured, was not an endeavor to be entered into lightly.
If you believe that the conditions in our nation are such as described- “pursuing invariably the same object evincing a design to reduce them under absolute despotism”, then you’ll need to show me where those abuses and usurpation are- we vote, we move freely, we have redress for grievances, our courts are pursuing due process and our representative are responsible to us.
It is true that there are forces in our nation which indeed desire to see us under servitude and serfdom, that is a function of the voter and the peoples’ will. For decades now we see progressive slide into decay and disparity under both D and R policies- yet the people can change that pattern- as we see with our present chief executive. He is not one of them, although he may not be a Geo Washington or Th. Jefferson, he surely is not a BH Obama!
The “uniparty” is the problem, statism is the risk and complacence of the voter at every level is the vehicle that will either allow or deny such descent.
