Nice article about Karen Pence’s bees. She started hives at the Governor’s mansion and now has at least 4 at the Naval Conservatory.

When asked if the family uses much honey or has a favorite recipe using honey, her response was that the Vice President (and she called him ‘Mike’) has a favorite snack – bananas covered with peanut butter and honey. Also favored, however, is honey on toast, in tea or coffee, as a sweetener on a snack, and on ice cream.

My favorite use for honey is drizzled on fried chicken. Mmmm! Second favorite is Neapolitan struffoli—fried dough balls coated with honey and sprinkles.

There is a crowd of protestors outside of the north side of the White House. A group of people are holding a larger red sign that reads antifascist. Others are red and black flags, carrying signs say stop racial scapegoating. Group is chanting No kkk, no fascist USA. Police have circled around this first group.
Counter protesters have deployed, with another group of men dressed in mostly black tops, holding American flags, chanting things like build the wall and Kate Steinle never again.
Both groups being separated by police And Another ring of police have blocked off access to the street surrounding the protest.
No signs of violence or any escalation. Just dueling chants and upped tensions related to that.
Lots of non pool related reporters out here too.

Back in the nineties, Freepers gathered on 16th Street and met people coming out of White House tours every Saturday. Kristinn was the best at asking and answering questions of them. Occasionally there were some chanting pro-Clinton kids from local colleges but never any problems between the two groups. I don’t recall ever having any police or press coverage.

Hi Dolly, et al! Finally got the balance of the Christmas lights up on the house. Barb is decorating the inside beautifully!

I have finally installed the oak, raised panel exteriors on our dining area cabinets. Now to apply about three coats of gloss polyurethane and also make the raised panel doors. The boss is happy.

Working through a head cold. It has been coming for about a week, with a sore throat, and now, it is in it’s glory! At least, I should be healthy for Christmas.

Got fitted for a tux, yesterday. Jack is getting married on the 6th of January. Instant family with a 6-year old daughter. They just added a rescue Siberian Husky mix to the family, and I think will start on their own as soon as they get their “building permit” in January! My friend Mark, who married Barb and me, will be officiating.

It sounds like the Deep State and UniParty House of Cards is starting to shake! MAGA!

I think that “naughty list” graphic is out of date — it appears to list his competitors for the GOP nomination back in ‘15 and ‘16. Several on the list are his allies now — especially Ben Carson, as well as Rand Paul and Ted Cruz in the Senate.

In the afternoon, the President will give remarks at the Utah State Capitol.
