On Twitter, President Trump defended Mike Flynn. The general has admitted he lied to the FBI during their Russia investigation. President Trump had a thing or two to say about that:

In other words, yes, Flynn lied to the FBI, but Hillary.
Of course, he has a point. Mueller and his team are clearly trying to take down Team Trump -- or at least as many members of the team as they can. It's dangerously close to becoming a witch hunt.
At the same time, those who will actually be prosecuted have made (serious) mistakes. When the FBI is interrogating you, you'd better tell the truth, even if you're ashamed of it. If you don't, know full well that they may very well go after you.
Flynn should have spoken candidly to the FBI or at the very least not lied to them. That he wasn't truthful is his responsibility -- Hillary has nothing to do with it.
Having said that, it certainly is remarkable that Hillary could get away with telling lies time and again. This doesn't mean that Flynn shouldn't have been prosecuted. It does mean, however, that it's rather strange that Hillary hasn't been held to account.

This was entrapment. The FBI already had recored the converstaions between Flynn and the Russian ambassador. Flyn did nothing wrong bu contacting the Russian ambassador, bercause it was Flynn’s job to do so.
The bviggest mistake that Flynn made was talking to the FBI in the first place. It should have been classified as privileged
communication concerning the office of the presidency and Flynn should have been left alone.
Obama recreated the FBI into a npolittical wing of the now Alinskyite Democrat party. Mueller and the whole liberal fascist lot of them at DOJ need to be purged.What is planned is a coupe here, to destroy the genuine results of the 2016 presidential election.
This coupe attempt needs to be destroyed, starting with those in the FBI who are responsible for the “dossier.”
Heads need to roll, and the Secret Service needs to do the job.

Trump’s billionaire supporters should have found a way to take care of his family before it came to this.
Sessions should never have taken the AG job if he was prepared to recuse himself on this stuff.
Trump should never have nominated Rod Rosenstein as deputy AG.
Flynn should not have lied to the FBI—about anything.
WHAT “billionaire supporters”? I think Trump is the only billionaire supporter of Trump.
I now believe that Sessions supported Trump so that he could become AG, and then enable Mueller and Comey in bringing down Trump.

Forget about Sessions and Rosenstein. Maybe Trump never should have hired FLYNN in the first place. It looks like he spent most of his post-military career peddling influence in D.C. to foreign interests. Sounds like he was “the Swamp” personified.

But Sessions and Rosenstein were both mistakes too.
Sessions must be mightily compromised, and my best total guess is that it is live boy situation.
Flynn lied to Pence. He should have been let go the same day. Good riddance to a pathological liar.

And Trump hiring Flynn isn’t?
Pleading guilty to lying doesn’t mean he lied. It more likely means that Mueller promised to ruin the Flynn family if he didn’t give in.
This is the latest version of rat lawfare, of totalitarian abuse under color of law against non-rats. Tom Delay went through hell for around ten years, only to have an appellate judge throw out the case. Scooter Libby too.
We should retaliate by legitimately nailing Hillary, Podesta, Abedin to the wall with no plea bargains.
