My compassion once went out to them...then, when I found out more about them, it stopped. And they said that they weren't there, to hear the verdict, because they didn't want the verdict "politicized". That makes less than no sebse at all.

This is the world we live in now. Drug dealer in Indiana goes to the house of a school teacher and shoots her when she answered the door. He went to the wrong house and thought he had the house of somebody that ripped him off. His friend testified against him but the Jury acquitted him of murder because there was no DNA or fingerprints left at the scene.
Freakin’ TV shows are killing prosecutor’s when it comes to making good cases. Everyone wants to see DNA evidence or some other stupid BS for every case brought before the judge now.

The majority of central valley land owners, farmers, dairymen and ranchers would leave. Imagine what that would do to the food supply!
Instead, the state should be split up, cleaving off most of the coast and southern areas. The State of Jefferson is currently the closest to what must be done. +2 Conservative Senator's and a Gov.

Yes that is exactly it - a terrible tragedy I lived in SF at the time and have a daughter that is 16, but facts appears to not keep some here from wanting to commit murder.

It was used to catapult a presidency along that philosophy of hate of others,” defense attorney Francisco Ugarte said after the verdict. “I believe today is a day of vindication for the rest of immigrants.”

Funny you should mention that...they are allowed to be seated on the city council in some parts of Ca....why not on a jury? They can get a drivers license, which automatically registers you to vote, get free schooling, healthcare, housing, hell, why not just let the next one be governor.
Hard to believe these words were said in an American court of law.
