In an impassioned letter released exclusively today to AL.com, Leigh Corfman, who accused Roy Moore of undressing her when she was 14 and he was 32, demanded the Republican Senate candidate stop calling her a liar, and attacking her character and end his "smears and false denials."
AL.com received a copy of the letter in person from Corfman. She declined to comment beyond what was contained in the letter.
"I am not getting paid for speaking up. I am not getting rewarded from your political opponents. What I am getting is stronger by refusing to blame myself and speaking the truth out loud," the letter states.

We only have her assertion that she was 14 at the time, and we only have her assertion that she had any contact with Moore.
The timeline as established by the court records on her case do not support her claims very well. Also there are parts of her story that appear to be contrary to known facts.
The "intersection" where she supposedly met Moore, and which she claimed was near her house was actually nearly a mile away, and across a major highway.
Other people have claimed that she was 17 in 1977, but I do not know if this has been confirmed. There are also people claiming she has accused a lot of other men in the past of impropriety, and she seems to be a serial accuser for this sort of thing.
Her story has a lot of holes in it.

That is an offensive comment. Roy Moore's accusers have been debunked one by one as liars. This last one will be proven a liar as well. One would have to have taken leave of one's senses or have a pony in the show to buy this story. Innocent until proven guilty.
Anyone can tell a story and look pitiful. I am tired of seeing innocent men have their lives ruined for spite, cash or to remove them from a race. How many of our sons will we throw on sacrificial fire of political correctness.
I have a serious question. The WaPo says this encounter with Corfman occurred in 1979. But I went to Classmates.com and found that she was in the class of 1979 (invited to the 30-year reunion), which would make her at least 17, perhaps 18, in 1979.
Has this been dealt with?
When it is an accusation without evidence, it does not warrant being accepted as the truth. Especially when the left has pulled this stunt before with Herman Cain and others.

Yeah. That is, after all, why 16 is the legal age to consent to INTERCOURSE, let alone dating. And in many cultures - my Filippina DIL says the Philippines would be one - it would be encouraged. Why? Because the 32 year old guy is likely looking for a wife to raise a family with, not a piece of $#@@$ to screw.
In the 80s, when I was seriously considering moving to a small town, I was told to be prepared to date high school girls. I asked why. “Because by 19, the good ones either marry or move away!” I didn’t take the job.

Mcstain (age 43) while married was screwing Cindy, 18 years younger than him. Technically McStain was a sexual predator/pedophile.
I am also certain that notoriously filthy-mouthed McCain has routinely used obscene language and filthy jokes in his work environment. I would LOVE to see him called to account for this by the women who work for and around him. His disgusting language is a textbook definition of what a hostile work environment consists of.

My friends who are private school teachers-both male and female-practically lived in fear of precocious and predatory 13-16 year old “kids” when they taught in public schools-hence their change of professional venue-they are convinced that the public education system has totally lost any moral compass they might have had-I think that is right-the sh**t they are teaching to kids is sexualizing them far too early.
I do not believe Moore’s accuser at all-the story has been blown so full of holes that you could drive a Freightliner through it-that cry-on-cue woman was hoping she’d win a legal lottery and is pissed that it isn’t going to happen-she gives us all a bad name...

I have considered this a possibility almost from the first. I've seen 12 year old girls that physically appear as fully mature women. This girl, if she really was 14 at the time, might have appeared as a fully developed woman, and additionally may have misled people as to her age.
I have also seen young girls trying to pretend they were adults, so I know this sort of thing happens.
She’s a liar. So many holes have been punched in her fake story. Even her own mother debunked part of it.
But the alleged militant lesbian editor at al.com will not allow any of that to be reported.

While I do not like most other women at all, I agree in principle-but there is no apparent substance to the woman’s claims-she has tried this extortion attempt on a couple of other men-it doesn’t inspire trust.

It does not bother me. It was common for most of the Nation's existence, and has only developed the "icky" feeling since the 1960s.
Beyond that, after Moore came back from Vietnam and after he finished law school, the women in his age group were mostly divorced or undesirable.
Some of those fundamentalist types are real big on having a wife that has not known other men. That pretty much narrows down the search range.
Where her mendacity (and personal profit - how much did Soros pay you, witch?) begins.
