GOP Alabama Sen. Richard Shelby said on Monday that he did not vote for Republican nominee Roy Moore in the state's Senate special election.
"No, no, no, I voted absentee. I didn't vote for him. I voted for a distinguished Republican write-in," Shelby told reporters when asked if he would vote for Moore, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women.

Who was the write in?
Way to go Dick! I will support whoever primaries you!
What benefit for him or anyone could possibly come from this jackass saying this?

The Cheap Labor Express Republicans will do whatever it takes to keep US from electing anyone who would side with US and the rule of law.
By controlling the state parties and the RNC they have been able to have US voting for amnesty candidates for years.
They would rather have a Democrat than a Republican who sides with the citizens and the rule of law.
What matters most is keeping US from restoring the rule of law and reversing the demographic changes they made to the country against the will of the citizens.
If it takes giving up the majority to get rid of Trump, they will do it gladly.
He is an existential threat to the swamp.
.
Flush Shelby!
Take away all of his committee positions now!
.
Helping the enemy. It's time to clean out this swamp of backstabbers.
What’s he going to do when Moore is elected? Refuse to introduce him as part of Senate protocol as the member from the state?
There is a reason why this jerk chose to reveal how he voted which is traditionally a private matter. We know what that reason is and his name is McConnell.
“He just demonstrated his constituency is the beltway not the state of Alabama”
You are correct.
Shelbys a LYING piece of human excrement he voted for the RAT Jones.
Once a Democrat, always a Democrat.
Shelbys shelf life expired long ago. He needs to go away.
Should have kept his mouth shut. He needs primarying.
Shelby.. yet another GOPe A$$HOLE.
Shelby is 83 (fourth oldest by two months behind Hatch) and has been in the Senate since 1987 (31 years). Worse still he just won re election last year. Alabama better redeem itself with electing Roy Moore.
Most likely. Best post yet.
Spineless Ba$tard...............
Mathematically the same as not voting at all. He may as well have farted on the ballot and cast that.
John Kasich wrote in McCain for President, which was not permitted under Ohio law (must be a registered write in candidate), all he did was create a headache for a poll worker, I know cause here in IL (same law) I once wrote in “Dick Nixon” for City Clerk, I heard later about causing the headache.
I don’t know about Alabama.
Also, early voting is stupid.
Great speech by a Moore campaign strategist today. Dean Young.
Anyone who is (foolishly) worried that Moore is establishment just has to read this statement written by Mitch McConnell and released by establishment Senator Shelby.
The GOPe never accepts the will of the people in the nomination process. How many times have the GOPe voted with Dems when the establishment candidate loses the nomination? Too many to count. The GOPe exists to maintain the statist status quo. They are domestic enemies of the United States of America.
Senator Shelby has been saying he would vote absentee and not for Moore.

Alabama Senator Richard Shelby says hell likely vote for a write-in Republican over Roy Moore
November 15, 2017,
snip
Longtime Alabama Senator Richard Shelby, a powerful Republican in the US Senate,
says he thinks he will write-in a Republican in next month’s special election to
choose the second senator from the state.
A spokesperson for Shelby confirmed to WHNT News 19 that Shelby told reporters
on Wednesday, “I’ll vote Republican, but I will probably write in a good candidate.”...
Senator Shelby endorsed Senator Luther Strange in the primary against Roy Moore.
Shelby did not specify who he might write-in over Moore, but he described Attorney
General Jeff Sessions, whose former senate seat is the one up for grabs here,
as an “ideal candidate.”
