I read until I hit the word “democracy” and then stopped.
We are not nor have ever been a democracy. You can word search all our foundation documents and never find that nine letter curse word!
Any and everyone who uses “democracy” as the basis of a discussion or foundation of their argument openly displays their stupidity.
This is just sheer, flat-out xenophobic prejudice, based on nothing except a warped view of “privilege” and “entitlement”.
Those Americans of rural background have, of course, been shaped by their experiences and lessons learned in the simple rules of economics that rule the techniques of extracting a way of life from the resources available. While this demographic is in fact shrinking in numbers, a very real trend that has been progressing since the days of founding of this nation, the ideal and aspirations are very much alive, and are of vital importance in retaining what has been known as the vision of “the shining city on the hill”. The promise always is that every day, every way, we get better and better, but only through discipline and faith that our future continues to build on the past.
We rural guys will be a threat when we stop trucking food into your cities, 6itch.
“Joy Ann Reid Attacks Rural Americans as a Minority that is the Core Threat to Our Democracy”
Rural Americans are not the minority that is the core threat to our country.
“Yes, he is; but he has a LOT of morons working for him.”
Maybe the devil is a woman!
Yes, on her good days. Maybe she should refuse food coming from rural America. I'm sure she can grow her own..
They DESIGNED IT that way, sweetie.
We’re a “core threat” to Democrat hegemony, that’s for sure. Those losers are losing more and more offices nationwide.
People who think like Ms. Reid are why the Founding Fathers included the 2nd Amendment.
“New York and California can elect every President.”
BINGO! Without these two states Trump won by 3 Million votes.
Bravo to anyone who can name all of the characters in the bottom picture.
WIKI: Reid was born Joy-Ann Lomena in Brooklyn, New York. Her father was from the Congo and her mother from British Guiana; the two met in graduate school at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Reid grew up in Denver, Colorado, then attended Harvard University, where she studied documentary filmmaking in the Visual and Environmental Studies department.
Reid is married to Jason Reid, a documentary film editor for the Discovery Channel. They have three children.
This type of tyranny by the majority (ie. Mob rule) is exactly what the constitution was designed to prevent. It’s made very clear in the Federalist Papers.
Love that pic of the Green Acres Hillbillies crowd.
Two sides of the same coin, city folks in the country, country folks in the city. Great stuff.
Rural Americans are the CORE of our democracy!
We should acknowledge this declaration of war, and get to fighting it fiercely.
Precisely. What exactly is ‘produced’ in Manhattan? Wall Street is essentially people playing with other people's money. They don't grow food in Manhattan. They do build large buildings - often to house people who make a living working in the middle between producers and consumers. Manhattan is entirely dependent upon the efforts of people outside of Manhattan. This is true for the majority of large cities.
Oh, I forgot. Large cities are also great producers of violence, homicides, single parent (if that) households, and uninformed know-it-alls like Joy Reid.
Wow....the stupid runs deep in this one....
She’s the threat, to our republic.
