BALIs highest volcano Mount Agung is sending a dark ash cloud into the sky as it erupts for the second time in less than a week. Here are live updates and the latest news. ... Sutopo Purwo Nugroho a spokesman for Balis Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), has said that some Bali residents living within Mount Agungs danger zone are refusing to evacuate the area.
He said: Some people within a radius of 8-10km from the summit crater of Mount Agung have not been displaced.
They feel safe because the area was not damaged during the 1963 eruption. They will evacuate if it is dangerous.

It worked. Gunung Agung is in the northeast part of Bali. It surprises me the airport is closed because it is southwest. But I really don’t know anything about aviation.
Best of luck to you and your family.
Get out if you can, but don't take an airplane; I used to watch "Mayday" and a plane ran into serious trouble (maybe even crashed), when it flew through volcanic ash; it got into the engines and stalled them, IIRC.
Prayers for you and yours.
Ahem, loogies
Damn autocorrect.

LOL, literally!
It’s a nice feature, but can lead some embarrassing mistakes. :) There are websites that post hysterical autocorrect mistakes. :)
Some are going up, way in front of the volcano. Are you watching the live stream webcam right under “Related Stories”?

Humans are to blame!
Those are insects flying by the camera.
Actually, I am catching up with season 4 of Scorpion. The internet is finally fast enough to stream some video. I will check in the morning.
Prayers for you.
Ooops! All the efforts of liberal global warming nuts go up in smoke/ash with one FART from a volcano.
Hu-MAN contribution to climate change is smaller than a pimple on a Mycoplasma genitalium’s ass.
Won’t this volcano eruption upset the global baloney computer models?
bttt

All it takes is a change in the wind and the hot gases will sweep over them in seconds and roast them all.
Mother Nature just increased her carbon footprint.
Libs in a frenzy to find something to tax.
That sounds right. Thanks.
Saw a young tourist couple being interviewed at the airport. The island is getting ready to be partially obliterated and all they were worried about was having to spend additional money to endure the delay and figure out who should reimburse them for it.
“Roast them all.” Like the poor people on the island of Martinique in San Pierre who were incinerated when a big pyroclastic flow swooped down from Mt. Pelee, only 4 miles away, in 1902 and killed over 30,000 people in 3 minutes. Then again a few months later, when despite warnings from the scientists at hand, the government cut off the relief subsidies that refugees were receiving. Many were forced to go back home near the mountain and another 2,000 were killed when it turned out the scientists were right.
