American & Korean BBQ, Cajun crawdad boils and apple fritter cook-offs all along the border

They weren’t even through the digestive process... probably only hand a couple bite’s worth in him snatched on the fly from a field, no time for roasting.

They are sinister if a few kernels from one cob [if that] is the only thing in his stomach and the only thing in his intestines are worms. Maybe with his ride-alongs eating the corn, he may be one guy from whom corn does not escape intact.

Being from Illinois we ate raw corn all the time but yes, there is a prime window for it- after the silks turn brown and before the husks begin to from green turn yellow... you open it and jam a thumbnail into the kernels to see if they still drip milky juice.

Indians thought it such a big deal that they held the Green Corn Ceremony in the season.

So we planted it two weeks apart to keep it coming...

I suspect the problem is the soldiers don’t know how bad off they really are. Based on their limited frame of reference, they are normal and actually better off than the general population

Such utter misery those people live in. For one lousy, fat boy. Counting my blessings and hope he can’t slaughter them all before he is overthrown or otherwise stopped. The aftermath is uncertain..except for the massive humanitarian crisis that is waiting following that regime.

The cellulose surrounding it isn’t easily digested in the human digestive tract. Eaten raw, it would mostly serve as roughage and give the sense of fullness while adding little nutritional value.

That’s the lever of control that needs to be removed. The officers and soldiers and the secret police need to endure the same suffering as the peasants. As long as they get special treatment, they’ll continue to impose Kim’s will over the country.

Issue hot dogs to all the border/DMZ troops and have them put one on each bayonet. Attacking NorK soldiers will all surrender at the sight.

Now that’s as corny as the Korean’s raw kernel.
LOL :)!

stories my mother told me of hobos during the depression stealing corn

Not to be picky, but hobos were migrant workers who lived by a pretty high standard of ethics, as opposed to tramps. As a kid, I used to visit the hobo camps in Redding CA. My cousins and I would talk to them around the campfire about where they had been, where they were going and what they did. They seemed to appreciate the conversation and after about an hour, we would ask them for money to do downtown and play pool. They always gave us some money.

I do not know if hobos exist today.

“Billiy crapped corn and I don’t care!”

Very clever.

Maybe we should use drones to airdrop very good food supplies to North Korean soldiers on the border, with pictures & greetings from their South Korean counterparts; saying "come join us" [ wa-seo - 와서 ]. Maybe we'd get some mass defections. Our diplomats could make the argument it was ONLY a "humanitarian" gesture.

gosh, a sample population of One gives you zero statistical evidence of anything....but hey, folks, don’t let that fact sway your opinion of the rest of the million folks in uniform there.

One thing I learned as a Soldier was never to underestimate the threat. A motivated foe starving foe equipped with a rock or two is harder to beat than a well fed and well trained/led foe who does not care to fight.

That said, NORK is a failed state, just need to let the people of NORK know that and give them some “real” news regarding the status of the rest of the world....

I would love to see that. Have a sign out about half a mile from the border; Take left to combat zone, take right to All You Can Eat Buffet.

Off topic, but I guy I know called one of those blind dating sites they used to have on the TV.

He went to picked her up and claims it was 400 lbs of woman!
He opened the door on his Mercedes and helped her in... The car listed starboard....

He got in and asked her “Where would yo like to go”?

She said ‘Golden Coral’ LOL
