Texas Congressman Joe Barton sent nudes and illicit text messages to a woman, and he's apologizing for the graphic image first revealed by a Twitter user.

Barton, a Republican, sent the nude photo showing his penis. The Twitter user censored the image, and also revealed a sext that reads, "I want u soo bad. Right now."

This whole thread reminds me of something that my Grandmother said many years ago.

She had a gynecological problem all of her life, a result of her second pregnancy and delivery. She had to see a doctor for many years about this issue, and one day, wrt the doc, she said: “I feel sorry for him. He has to spend every day looking at the ugliest part of a woman!”

Barton’s - or any man’s - ‘willy’ is the same. Ladies might like being ‘loved’ by it now and then - but we definitely don’t want to LOOK at it!

Why would you assume that? The fact is, it is most women that take naked photos of themselves.

If the photo was unsolicited that’s one thing. But what if it was requested and consensual?

Is he married? IF he is, did he get his wife's consent? Marriage means two become one.

I don’t think I guessed at a ratio of who sent more. I just assumed a lot of guys have done it.

That’s just in general for the younger generations. But now that you’ve mentioned it, I guess women do it also.

I never mentioned or asked anything about men sending more than women. Now you say, that you "just assumed a lot of guys have done it." - not most.

Personally, I don't know any men that have taken or sent naked photos of themselves, that I know of. Excepting those perverts in Congress, who I don't know personally. But according to that survey (from a women's magazine), MOST women do.

Hey, I’m sorry I didn’t get it right. It’s been a busy thread (or two.)

I just assumed most guys (of a certain age) have done that. I guess I just think that because the media and people in general are outraged to hear of a man doing that, even in a consensual relationship.

You just don’t hear of women being castigated too much for the same thing.

I think women - especially young women - do it much more often. They don’t generally take genital pics, though.

Women are showing-off their beauty - and in many cases, those pics are meant for other women. (Not a sexual thing, but a ‘pride’ thing.)

The men who send pics of their genitals seem to think that their ‘endowments’ will somehow entice females.
