Three military members working for the White House have been reassigned after having alleged inappropriate contact with foreign women during President Donald Trump’s recent trip to Asia, a senior U.S. defense official has confirmed to Fox News. The service members, who worked as part of the White House Communications Agency (WHCA), are being investigated for allegedly breaking curfew in Vietnam, The Washington Post reported Tuesday... In August, four Army soldiers working with the WHCA were reassigned after bringing women back to their hotel room on a trip to Panama with Vice President Mike Pence.

More should have been done to them than to reassign them. Their actions could have led to severe security fiasco.

Yeah and I hope their mommies are all healthy and have a nice Thanksgiving. It’s a basic fact of life missed in this day’s environment female stateside values don’t mix well with soldiers.

Duh! So you have no problem with US military personnel with top secret clearances illegally consorting with communist women in violation of orders? You must be a real patriot.

Indeed some people fail to understand that rules are enforced no matter who you are.

I had just finished with two projects at EPG that were real failures on ineligibility only to learn after giving them failing results, they bought them before we even started.

Blew it, not really. I am happy the way things turned out. I got to see the belly of the beast when working with NESSEC.

They’re young red-blooded American servicemen and young Vietnamese ladies are hot.
Of course they will seek inappropriate contact.
If both sides were consenting, then give them a break.
Vietnam is where I met my wife 47 years ago.

You moron. The Communists in Vietnam today want to take you on a tour of the battlefield. And you should probably shut up about patriotism, or tell me about your time in a foxhole.

If they went in the privacy of a room, none of your business.

Obviously, you know nothing about security or blackmail.

A hotel room in a country like Vietnam cannot be considered "private" and especially for members of a diplomatic delegation. They are always targets for compromise and blackmail by security services. The technologies of monitoring equipment and cameras is excellent these days. It would be easy to compromise fools with a honey trap.

These guys were fools. They should be court martialed.

Could be more of a potential security issue than a bunch of puritans...

The soldiers did take them back to their hotel room...

I use to be a member of WHCA and over the last few years my job has entailed some contact with them. You can no longer “homestead” within WHCA. When I asked why, the word was the officers thought is was bad for your promotion prospects.
And my thoughts were if you are good at your job, then your officers will ensure your NCOERs reflect that and you will be promoted. I think they said 5 years with maybe a 2 year extension is all they will allow now. But as with all things, changes or exemptions will happen.
My last last NCOIC there went from E-4 to E-9, never left for any school, then retired and got a job as Deputy Director of the White House Situation Room.

Very doubtful there was even the slightest security issue. It was probably some female to on the mission who turned them in anyway. That or some senior offucer who would be just fine if one of them came out as homosexual.

Not necessarily. Crypto involves mostly computer technology now-a-days: PKI, Asymmetric keys, Symmetric keys, certificates, etc.
