Court documents involving Leigh Corfman, who says that Alabama senatorial candidate Roy Moore tried to engage in a sexual encounter with her when she was 14, raise questions about the timeline and narrative of Corfmans accusations against the politician.
Those accusations were first publicly disclosed in a Washington Post story citing Corfman and her mother, Nancy Wells, as saying that in early 1979, Roy Moore, then a 32-year-old assistant district attorney, allegedly asked Wells to watch her fourteen-year-old daughter while Wells went into a courtroom for a custody hearing.
Corfman claims that Moore asked the young Corfman for her number. Days later, she says, he picked her up around the corner from her house in Gadsden, the Post story states, referring to her mothers home in Gadsden. Corfmans parents were divorced.
The first private meeting was arranged after Moore called Corfman on her home phone at her mothers house, Corfman alleges.
Corfman says that Moore took her to his home, put his arm around her, and kissed her. Corfman told the Post that she had asked Moore to drive her home because she was feeling nervous and he obliged.
Soon after, she says, he called again, and picked her up again at the same spot, the Post story reports, without providing an exact timeline.
That is when Corfman says that Moore drove her back to his house, touched her body, and guided her hand to his underwear. Corfman says that she yanked her hand back.

Where did Moore live in 1979? She said they drove about a half hour to his house and it had a dirt/stone drive.
The answer appears to be no.
I wish someone would get a copy of that yearbook and see if there was a Ray in her class. It would be nice if someone had a yearbook that was signed by Ray.
Just saw one of Doug Jones Senate Campaign Ads. Not one mention of him being a democrat. His signs dont give a party affiliation.

Doug and the democrats are hoping conservative voters stay home. I believe many will stay home. The left have smeared and repeated the allegations enough to where a lot of people believe it. I had lunch with someone today that said there are 9 accusers so it must be true. I heard the same thing from someone on Sunday. These people will most likely not be voting.
The smear campaign was relentless and I believe effective.
The demos will certainly be out in full force to try to take this senate seat. Unfortunate that a lot of good people are confused and not sure what they should do.
Since Corfman was in school, there would have been only 3 days available between Feb 21st and March 4th for the alleged rendevous.: Feb 24, 25 and March 3.
So it had to be 2 of those 3 days.
Now there's no way she was going to get out of the house at night so this had to be during the day. Yeh right...he's going to pick her up around the corner in a Town that knows this hometown boy like one of their own.
Good sleuthing.
This is the original accuser.
You know, the one that lied about Moore calling her on her bedroom phone. Then her mom contradicted her and said she didn't have a phone in her bedroom.
Now we find out the intersection she mentioned was 1 mile away. So she what, walks a mile to meet him each time.
I'm sure this has been posted before...
...but why does Classmates.com have an entry for a 30 year high school reunion for the Gadsden High School class of 1979, and Leigh Corfman is on the list of "No Response?"
Gadsden High School Class of 1979 Reunion - 30 Year Reunion
If Corfman was 14 years old in 1979, why was she on the invite list for the 1979 graduating class reunion? She should be 17-18 to be in the class of 1979, or she'd be in the class of 1983 if she were 14 in 1979.
If Corfman was really 17-18 in 1979 and the incident occurred earlier when Corfman was younger, Roy Moore would have still been in law school.

Classmates has one entry for Leigh Corfman in 1979 and two entries for Leigh Corfman in 1982. Only one of the 1982 entries has a profile, so the others may be in error.
For other classes, I've seen names mixed up, so these lists were uploaded with errors in some cases.

I noticed that after the Moore press conference where his attorneys raisded questions about the details and veracity of the stories told by his accusers, the press coverage did not discuss any of that but focused on President Trump’s remarks.
I think Trump did Moore a disservice by stepping on his account of the matter.
