Saudi Arabia’s Top Cleric: Fighting Jews Forbidden, Hamas a Terror group

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia issued a ruling forbidding war against the Jews and proclaiming that Hamas is a terror group.

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, issued a surprising religious ruling, saying that fighting against Israel was inappropriate and that Hamas is a “terror organization.”

The Muslim cleric issued the ruling while answering a question on a television program regarding the Palestinian riots surrounding the Temple Mount in July, Turkey’s Anadolu news agency reported.

Israel’s Communications Minister Ayoub Kara welcomed the unexpected decision and invited the Mufti to visit Israel.

Given they’ve been funding open Jew hatred for years, for the Mufti to now say “stop it” or at worst “go undercover” is still a sign of progress.
The brewing Sunni-Shia war makes saber rattling at Israel stupid when they need to fight the Islamic terrorists from Iran, the civil war in Yemen spilling over and other priorities.

He’s also dealing with declining oil prices and a growing population. Change the ideology to end the funding of Islamic terrorism abroad to keep more money to keep the peace at home.
Charging corruption and seizing billions from various rival heirs helps with that cause, too.

“end the funding of Islamic terrorism abroad to keep more money to keep the peace at home.”

The Saudis are facing a cash crunch from low oil prices that may never recover (because of American shale oil).

Realistically, they do need to pull their horns in from funding global jihad, to fund their own economy’s diversification.

The Saudis pulling their support from the jihadis, is a policy that would be worth a lot to the Americans, and other victims of jihadis - the withdrawal itself is an asset they can sell, or trade for things of value (like getting America to undermine the Iranian regime for them).

all the Jews for miles around me right now hate Trump.

Oh, they're not Jews, they're atheists (secular jews) who belong to a "jewish" social club.

Pray for the brave kid. Muslims are destined to be the destructive wild child of God’s creation, but it doesn’t mean every generation must suffer at their hands. Perhaps Mohammed bin Salman and the Grand Mufti can pacify the terrorists in their midst for a few geneations before the bad guys rise again, just in time for the beheadable millenials final years.

DJT had little to do with the Crown Prince’s ‘modernization’ push.

Rather, it was the result of the Saudi’s losing control of the oil market under OPEC. They lost the contest when they failed to break US fracking market - they pumped less oil to drive the price up and force the frackers to shut down, but the frackers pumped more oil instead. At the point the Saudi’s learned the US has more oil they they do by at least 50 years. A contest they could not win.

So to remain a viable country and maintain their rule, something had to change - drastically. They needed more money for a complete nationwide overhaul to bring KSA into the 21st century. Thus, the round up and confiscation of $800B from royals as well as ending financial support for radical Sunnis in places like Syria and Iraq.

DJT’s trip to the KSA was rather to tell him what was going on and get his approval, of something which was already in the works.

Or course, if Zero had been actually competent, and actually doing anything but servicing the needs of Iran and its proxies (all of which are our enemies), the crisis wouldn't have built to this point. :^)

Could MBS be some form of Ataturk?

This fatwa battle has been going on since the 1950s, with the “who you can kill” list growing and receding all the time. For what it’s worth, this is a solid swing towards the sane side.

From what I’ve read, and I try to read about this topic, MbS is an unusual man, and sincerely wants reform. I read Thomas Wictor’s twitter threads about the Middle East, very informed.

Saudis understoods that with their spreading of hate and murder they don’t have many friends left and it is unlikely to bribe US into fighting their wars anymore. And since the failure of Arab Spring Iran and ‘progressive’ Arab regimes are now looking into the roots of their troubles which is KSA. Saudis wants to bring Israel on their side with these lies plain and simple.

There were no links from that site and I couldn’t find anything on J-Post. Has this been confirmed?

Thanks for the response. Those were my results also. Because I’m hopeful, I’ll keep looking.
