Officials at the hospital say the main reason why patients run away is that they are scared of needles and don't have much experience of hospitals.
Jean Benoit Manhes, the deputy representative of Unicef, told the Irish Times: "Some escaped because theyre afraid of needles. People here are not used to the hospital.
"The problem of plague is not just a medical response. You can have hospitals but if people dont come it isnt enough.
Such incidents have prompted fears that the plague could spread even further with each confirmed case requiring 20 people have been in contact with to be treated as a precaution.

Hey, let’s run around coughing up blood and snot from pneumonic plague! What could go wrong?
(From the article) :" the plague could spread even further with each confirmed case requiring 20 people who (sic)have been in contact with to be treated as a precaution."
Recommended containment equipment : N-95 face mask, and a full body biologic suit, gloves, eye protection, with spraying by antiseptic following even possible exposure.
Even so, many healthcare professionals have already succumbed to the plague.
That sorta reminds me of the many doctors who died during the Ebola plague, requiring the CDC to update and increase biologic protection.
They did exit screening and actually it is on the decline now...WHO did a good job on this.
The bible warns us against necromancy.
There are usually solid, scientific reasons behind biblical warnings as found in the old testament-the dietary laws, for example.
The bible even tells us what to do about mold in our houses!
Necromancy can open the door to demonic influences.
Bad, bad juju.
King Julian looks very displeased.
Our governments condone evil, import it and then protect it.
Damn them all to hell.
Does the cabin air mix with the cockpit air?
I'm going to avoid the Mall of America like
...like
...wait for it...
JUST NO! DON'T SAY IT!
...
"...like I always do."
...and you thought I was going to say "the plague" didn't you?
Lol!
Great.
Most people in a room infected? Some? All? One sneeze? Incubation period?

Regarding #1 : unknown, best to use CDC safety protocol as used in control of Ebola- (though Ebola is a virus).
Regarding #2 : One sneeze produces hundreds of droplets of infection, which allows the bacteria to remain virulent longer.
The problem is magnified as this religious festival takes place during the 'rainy season', thus giving the bacteria more longevity, and thus potentially involving more people.
Regarding #3 : The aerolized/ aerosol bacteria finds additional hosts when it becomes pneumatic, thus taken in through normal breathing into the lungs.
Pneumatic exposure has been linked to a fatality in 24 hours; however, unknown is whether there may have been other additional contributing medical complications.

Julia Belluz is a science/ health blogger with a journalist background.
While the news from her is good news, I would prefer to hear it from the WHO/ CDC. for confirmation,
especially given the international healthcare plague implications.
Thanks for the update.
Thanks for the ping. That is good news. I just really don’t want to have to worry about getting the plague at this point...
Quarantine works only if enforced.
Go ahead and send them to Dallas. Mayor Rawlins and Judge Clay Jenkins couldn’t wait for the ebola patients, so we might as well double down.
