Roundup: All the Sexual Misconduct Allegations Against Roy Moore So Far (Feel free to refute)
Christian Post ^ | 11/17/2017 | Samuel Smith

Posted on 11/17/2017 9:58:10 AM PST by SeekAndFind

Alabama's Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore has been the center of national attention this past week as several sexual misconduct allegations have been lodged against him and have caused a number of prominent conservatives to question his candidacy.

The Washington Post reported last Thursday on an alleged romantic encounter Moore had with a 14-year-old girl while he was a single, 32-year-old man and also reported on his relationship with three other 16- to 18-year-old girls that occurred decades ago.

Since the Nov. 9 Washington Post report was published, others have come forward with their own stories of Moore's alleged perverted misconduct.

Leigh Corfman

The accusation: Corfman, 53, told The Washington Post that she met Moore when she was 14 sitting on a bench outside of a courtroom in Etowah County, Alabama, in 1979 while her mother was there for a child custody hearing.

She claims that Moore, who was 32 and the assistant district attorney at the time, volunteered to sit with her while her mother was in the courtroom. Moore reportedly asked for her phone number and days later, picked her up around the corner from her house and took her back to his home about 30 miles away.

According to The Washington Post, Moore "told her how pretty she was and kissed her."

"On a second visit, she says, he took off her shirt and pants and removed his clothes," the article reads. "He touched her over her bra and underpants, she says, and guided her hand to touch him over his underwear."

Corfman asserted that they didn't have intercourse. Corfman was the only one of the four women named in the Nov. 9 Washington Post article who had any sexual interaction with Moore that surpassed kissing.

Moore's response: Moore told conservative radio host Sean Hannity in an interview the day after the article was published that the encounter that Corfman described "never happened." Moore added that he never had any contact with Corfman and that her allegations are "completely false." Moore also called the allegations "politically motivated."

Debbie Wesson Gibson

The accusation: Gibson, who was also named in the Nov. 9 Washington Post article, claims that she was 17 when Moore was speaking to her high school civics class and asked her out on the first of their several dates. Gibson claims that she didn't go any further than kissing when she went on her dates with Moore.

Moore's response: In the Nov. 10 interview with Hannity, Moore explained that he doesn't remember speaking at Gibson's civics class. However, Hannity pressed and specifically asked Moore if he was saying that he never dated Gibson. Moore replied: "No, but I don't remember going out on dates. I knew her as a friend. If we did go on dates then we did. But I do not remember that."

Gloria Thacker Deason

The accusation: Deason was a third woman named in the Nov. 9 Washington Post article. She claimed that she was an 18-year-old community college student when she met the 32-year-old Moore at a mall in Gadsden, Alabama, where she worked at the Pizitz department store jewelry counter.

Even though the drinking age in the state at that time was 19, Moore allegedly took Deason on dates that included bottles of wine when they first started dating. Deason said they dated off and on for months. However, their physical relationship didn't go further than hugging and kissing.

Moore's response: In his interview with Hannity, Moore denied the allegation that he supplied alcohol on his dates with Deason and also contended that Deason was "19 or older" at the time. He stated that he "never provided alcohol" to a minor.

Wendy Miller

The accusation: Miller was also named in the initial Nov. 9 Washington Post article and explained that she met Moore when she was 14 and working as a Santa's Helper at the Gadsden mall. However, Miller said that it wasn't until she was 16 that Moore began asking her out on dates. Miller never went out with Moore because her mother forbade her from doing so.

Moore's response: In the interview with Hannity, the former Alabama chief justice maintained that Miller's allegation and the allegations from the other women must have been politically motivated because they haven't been brought up in any of the "five successful campaigns" he has run in his political career.

Beverly Young Nelson

The accusation: Following the allegations of the four women in the Nov. 9 Washington Post article, Nelson came forward at a press conference on Monday to accuse Moore of sexually assaulting her in a car when she was a 16-year-old waitress and student at Gadsden High School.

At the time, Moore was a district attorney in Etowah County.

"Mr. Moore reached over and began groping me and put his hand on my breast. I tried to get out and he reached over and locked (the door) and I yelled and told him to stop," Nelson said during the press conference, adding that he tried to force her head down to his crotch area. "I continued to struggle. I was determined that I was not going to allow him to force me to have sex with him. I was terrified. He was also trying to pull my shirt off. I thought he was going to rape me. I was twisting and struggling and begging him to stop. I had tears running down my face," she said.

Nelson added that at some point, Moore "gave up."

"He then looked at me and said, 'You are a child. I am the district attorney of Etowah County. If you tell anyone about this, no one will believe you,'" Nelson recalled.

Moore's response: On Monday, Moore told reporters that Nelson's allegations are "absolutely false." He added: "I never did what she said I did. I don't even know the woman. I don't know anything about her."

Elements of Nelson's story have been questioned by Moore's legal team. Reports indicate that as a judge, Moore signed documents pertaining to Nelson's divorce from her husband in 1999, a fact that Nelson omitted in the press conference.

Additionally, a signature that Nelson claims is Moore's in her high school yearbook does not appear to match the candidate's signature.

Moore emphatically denied Nelson's accusation in a letter sent to Hannity through Twitter on Wednesday.

"I adamantly deny the allegations of Leigh Corfman and Beverly Neslon, did not date underage girls, and have taken steps to begin a civil action for defamation," Moore wrote.  "Because of that, at the direction of counsel, I cannot comment further."

Tina Johnson

The accusation: Johnson told Alabama.com in an interview that was published on Wednesday that she went to Moore's law office in 1991 to sign over custody of her daughter to her mother.

Johnson, who was 28 at the time, recalled that Moore began flirting with her almost as soon as she came in the office. After the papers were signed and Johnson and her mother got up to leave, she claims that Moore grabbed her buttox right after her mother had walked out of the room.

"He didn't pinch it; he grabbed it," Johnson was quoted as saying.

Moore's response: Moore has not yet publicly responded to Johnson's claim and didn't return Alabama.com's inquiry about Johnson's claims by press time.

Gena Richardson

The accusation: In an article published Wednesday by The Washington Post, the 58-year-old Richardson claimed that she also met Moore at the Gadsden Mall in 1977 when she was a high school senior and working at the Sears department store.

Although Richardson claimed that Moore asked her out on a date while at the Mall, she initially declined. However, she claimed that when she was in school one day, she was called down to the principal's office because Moore had called for her on the phone.

She stated that eventually, she agreed to go out with him. After their date at the movie theater, she recalled Moore driving her back to her car at the Sears parking lot and then giving her an unwanted "forceful" kiss.

Moore's response: The Washington Post reports that Moore's campaign did not directly address Richardson's allegations but argued in a statement that the new allegations are politically motivated.

"If you are a liberal and hate Judge Moore, apparently he groped you," the statement reads. "If you are a conservative and love Judge Moore, you know these allegations are a political farce."

Becky Gray

The accusation: The Washington Post also named Becky Gray in its Nov. 15 article, stating that Gray and Richardson were like Miller and Deason in the fact that they encountered Moore at the Gadsden Mall.

Gray told The Washington Post that she was 22 and working at the Pizitz department store when she first met Moore. She stated that she regularly had to decline his requests to go on dates.

After it became an annoyance, Gray said that she ended up complaining about Moore to her store manager.

Gray claimed that after her complaint, her store manager got Moore banned from the mall.

"I went to my manager and talked to him about it and asked him, basically, what could be done," Gray told ABC News Wednesday. "Later on, he ... came back through my department and told me that [Moore] had been banned from the mall."

Moore's response: Moore has not directly addressed Gray's allegations. However, Moore's lawyer reportedly told MSNBC on Wednesday that there "has never been a list with Roy Moore banned from being at the mall."

When they dig up the rotting corpse of murderer Ted Kennedy and put him trial I’d care about Moore

And the Mall owner confirmed that indeed Roy Moore was never banned from the Mall.

The Birmingham News has been on a rampage against Judge Roy Moore for many years, especially since their alleged lesbian editor took over as the main editor for the 3 largest newspapers in the state of Alabama and Judge Moore came out against sodomite marriage.

I've met her and she is VERY butch.

Kyle Whitmire is an effete "columnist" there (though he's married) and he's written with more vitriol against Judge Moore than anyone, with the possible exception of John "I forgot I declared bankruptcy and I've got a gay brother" Archibald.

They hate Judge Moore and they have made it clear that they do.

Their jobs are also dependent on pleasing their editor. Those 3 papers are owned by Advance and they have laid off over 40% of their employees in the past few years and now only print 3 days a week.

So you have lesbains and leftists calling the shots and maybe a couple of people who are afraid to speak out in fear of losing their jobs.

But this is a hate campaign of the highest order.

Samuel Smith: “When did you stop beating your wife?”

An accusation with no basis in fact, to quote our utterly inept Attorney General. Ms. Nelson’s stepson accuses her of being a liar and more than implies that she’s pretty good at it; there is no “behind” the Olde Hickory House, as Ms. Nelson alleges and Ms. Nelson’s attorney - none other than Gloria Allred, who has less credibility than Al Sharpton - refuses to allow a forensic examination of the yearbook that Judge Moore supposedly signed.

I have extreme difficulty believing that, after the millions spent by the Strange campaign, McConnell and his NRSC to discredit Judge Moore in the primary campaign, a Washington Post reporter goes to Alabama and almost magically finds one person who knows four people that don’t know one another, but have very similar accounts of Judge Moore’s behavior almost 40 years ago. Initial reporting held that Judge Moore was “banned” from the Gadsden Mall, but the mall manager at the time says he has no knowledge of such a ban. This is all too reminiscent of McConnell’s multi-million dollar efforts to destroy Chris McDaniel in his race against Thad Cochran. The NRSC went so far as to spend millions persuading Democrat voters to vote for Cochran in the runoff between McDaniel and Cochran in support of McConnell’s disgusting efforts to destroy McDaniel.

There isn’t a nickel’s worth of difference between the GOP leadership, the Democrat Party leadership and, apparently, the “Christian” Post. You can regurgitate the accusations against Judge Moore all you like; we’ve been hearing them non-stop for over two weeks in the mainstream media, but nary a peep about the Robert Menendez trial or the fact that the US Senate just passed a resolution that all senators, their staffs and interns have to attend sexual harassment training because of allegations against some US Senators, one of which is apparently Al Franken.

I'm betting his wife and children will sue. Roy's wife, Kayla, was in the same class as Beverly nee Young Nelson.

Wonder if Beverly overlooked that, too.

What in the world is the “Christian Post”? This hardly seems like am article written by a Christian author or one looking at things from a Christian point of view. I think the Christian Post is another deliberately misnamed leftist publication. That being said, I will refute as it is so easy.

1. Accuser # 1 is a Thrice divorced, multiple bankruptcy filing, shakedown artist with FOUR prior shakedown attempts of PASTORS for the same charges. Her mother has discredited her claims directly. She lied about key details like having a phone in her room to have conversations on w/Moore. If she was involved w/Moore it was when she was 17 not 14 which is critical. Bottom line she is not credible and was not illegal in any event.

2. Accusers 2-4 were all of Legal age and do not allege anything other than Moore being polite in his pursuit/interest in them. There is nothing here and they do not establish any wrongdoing or “pattern”.

3. Accuser #5 Completely debunked forger of her prime “evidence” (yearbook) who lied about having never seen Moore again when in actuality he presided over one of her Divorce proceedings. Never mind that if he had actually assaulted her she and or her attorney (or any other sane person) would have sought his recusal from those proceedings. Finally her own family has come forward and said they do not believe her.

CONCLUSION: At this point there is nothing. Let me repeat that. The first five accusers establish NOTHING!

Accusers 6,7 and 8

4. Accuser 8 was 22! There is nothing there, if it even happened, exactly as she described. A grown man pursued a grown woman very much over the age of consent (by 7 years).

5. Accuser 7 was over the age of consent. Again nothing illegal. Her details do not ring true. The idea that Moore called her principal to get her out of class to talk to her are ridiculous. Especially when she worked at the mall that he supposedly prowled. It would have been far easier for him to just talk to her there on one of his many “hunts”.

6. Accuser # 6 Alleges that he goosed her bottom in a way that no one else could see in his office. This is the only claim that so far has any chance of establishing what “They” are trying to establish.

When you have been smeared by 7 completely debunked claims of harassment, and your claim comes to light 25 years after it supposedly happened, it is time to give the benefit of the doubt to the very unfairly maligned Moore. There is no pattern of abuse there is one claim of a butt touching which is highly questionable in it’s own right. The man being accused has spent a lifetime being ridiculed for advocating and adhering to a Christian moral code. That he would deviate from that and risk his reputation by committing sexual assault in his professional place of employment does not pass the smell test.

Moore told one of them that she "had beautiful eyes".

This is CLEARLY inconsistent with the high moral standards necessary to serve in the US Senate.

Yeah - and they all decided to be emotionally scarred just before an important election even though they had ample opportunity when he was being kicked off the bench - any bets that they all voted for Hillary and/or are being paid/enticed with promises to ‘come out”?

Some redneck who supposedly was a mall security guard at the time says a cop told him Moore was banned and he was to call the cop if he ever spotted Moore in the mall. But the cop didn’t tell him why.

The redneck got his 15 seconds of Fame. I’d demand proof that he worked at the mall. And you’d think if he can remember Moore’s name, he could remember the cop’s name.

That is the insidiousness of these accusations. No proof can be provided to support or refute them. Without the accusers filing police reports at the time the incidents occurred means there is no paperwork to even lend credence to the claims. On the flip side, proving that something didn't occur is an even harder, if not impossible, task. Especially 40 years after the majority of the claims stated they occurred. Even the newer accusations are 30 plus years ago.

I do not see how anyone could be convicted, nor totally vindicated. Blame the accusers for not reporting their claims at the time they occurred, and perhaps blame the accused for stupidly by getting involved with females much younger than he was.

Thus the bottom line for making these accusations can be attributed to nothing more than political attacks designed to impugn the accused.

Jonah Goldberg is a horse’s ass.
Useless, cuckolded RINO—a Karl Rove with hair and a beard.
Woman No. 1—said she was 14, was most likely 17,bankrupt 3 times, divorced twice, said she had a phone in her bedroom, mother says there was no phone in the bedroom, has accused three pastors of assaulting her, last case was thrown out by an AL circuit judge with prejudice because she was lying her ass off.
Woman No. 2 16 —above age of consent
Woman No. 3 17 —above age of consent
Woman No. 4 18 —above age of consent
Note that 2,3 and 4 accuse the Judge of no assault; kissing only; Judge had asked their moms for permission to date and recieved it
Woman No. 5— Yearbook Girl—forgery; says she was taken to a lot behind the restaurant, none there; says she was locked in—most cars of that vintage did not have driver side control locks;Judge Moore oversaw her divorce action in 1999 which was thrown out, woman failed to say so in her press conference; stepson says she is lying, and him and whole family support Judge Moore 100%
Woman No. 6—out today; Judge’s client getting a divorce, says Judge goosed her butt while walking out of office after a consult.
To me, woman 2,3, and 4 have no beef.
Woman #1 is not credible
Woman #5 is lying
Woman #6—not enough information.
Gloria Allred—should be sued to oblivion and disbarred. Already has 2 CA State Bar investigations against her.
Mitch McConnell—should tell us why he left the Army so quickly in the middle of a hot war in Vietnam in the summer of 1967. Not the official reason—the REAL reason.
Then he should be forced to resign.

Feel free to refute

Impossible to refute or confirm. Either one is nothing more than providing ones opinion. My opinion is that he is not guilty of the accusations be leveled as to actual crimes being committed. The accusations of him dating younger women is not a crime, especially when he asked for permission from the parents.

You're probably right in most cases. But Moore's biggest problem is that he hasn't got a single friend in the Senate, and when they haul him before the Ethics Committee like McConnell threatens then he'll be facing a hostile judge, jury, plaintiff, the whole nine yard.

Again, not sure they can actually do that based solely upon accusations that cannot be confirmed. Of course I do not know how that process actually works, but I would think he has some course of action. If nothing else he can argue that the ethics are in no way being consistent in their handling of these types of cases.
