Why Alabama voters must spite the experts again
American Thinker ^ | 11/15/2017 | Steve Flesher

Up until one week ago, the worst thing one could claim about Judge Roy Moore was that he stood for the Ten Commandments as a judge and ticked off the ACLU.  While arguments exist constitutionally around that particular matter, Moore's actions in doing so were certainly not indicative of a man with a weak character who would exploit young ladies.  In fact, he stood for something and risked losing a political position.

Another matter that put Moore's political post at risk was his stance on marriage.  Again, he didn't go along to get along.  He stood for what he believes in.  His steel spine is yet another objective fact we're able to consider.

This is why Alabama voters trust Moore, who has proven himself when he promises to stand on important issues: religious liberty, securing our borders (which includes building a wall), the Second Amendment, protecting the unborn, etc.

This is unlike a lot of the so-called holier-than-thou "Republicans" in Washington who had no problem working with Ted Kennedy, who left a woman to die in his car, and other liberals in Congress.  They are the same ones who continually take stands to bash the current president after they refused to stand against the Obama regime for eight years.  They embody the swamp that Moore threatens.

You are quite right. I think it will end in blood.

If Moore is somehow disqualified there will be hell to pay nationwide next year. Pitchforks, primaries, and a pro-Trump landslide in Congress to drain the swamp.

If I were to put myself into the mind of an early 30something professional in rural Alabama in 1977, I'd be thinking the following:

If I were to put myself into the mind of a parent of a 17-year-old girl in rural Alabama in 1977, I'd be thinking the following:

As it turned out, Roy Moore's wife is 14 years younger than he is. They married in 1985 when she was 24 and he was 38. He knew what he was looking for, and he found it.

Today, his opponents are trying to ex post facto criminalize his courting.

Moore’s problem is not with the three 17 or 18 year old girls he dated. After all, he asked for their parent’s permission to date them and they said nothing untoward occurred.

It is the allegations of the then 14 year old who claims he undressed her and Gloria Allred’s client who claims he sexually assaulted her that he has to refute.

So, there were NOT 5 women he has a problem with. There are really only 2 so far (Unless Allred can manufacture a few more ).

He's got it wrong about the Olde Hickory House. It was in a 1978 Directory and it is confirmed by an ad in a 1978 Gadsen newspaper.

In the Gadsen Times article dated Dec 22 1977, is an article naming William (Bill) Rayburn) as the Etowah County District Attorney.

Roy Moore was the first full time DEPUTY district Attorney. Not sure that he even that occurred in 1977 since he was just out of college. Not sure when he passed the bar and obtained his license.

“Have any of the accusers made any accusations under oath, in a sworn statement?”

In politics, it’s the accusation that matters. The truth is irrelevant.

But what about the “Christmas” comment when yearbooks come out in April?

Frankly, I really don't care about what happened 40 years ago!

Moore has led a clean life since then, or they would have something more current.

They are terrified of him going to the Senate.

That is how they operate, just throw out lies and hope some of them stick.

Exactly, this is not about the 17 year old’s, that is just window dressing.

On other threads the signed yearbook has two different kinds of ink? Signer used a different pen for his last name! Did you know that the first name could be Ray? There was a Ray in her class who, was a pedo!

Also, The “Alfred” accuser’s stepson made a video stating that he believes his stepmother is lying.

The important thing though is the purpose of the SMEAR is to keep a candidate out of the Senate who wants to support the agenda that WE THE PEOPLE voted for.

Until we stop these SMEARS, the elite political class will elect our representatives for us.

I don’t think there were two kinds of pen used, black and blue. I’ve seen that phenomenon before in scans.

Agreed.

The reason the headlines are lumping the five together is to paint the image of a predator. I'm laying out a reason why there might be a pattern, but that the pattern is not a predation.

Each of the two have strong claims on their credibility (one is alleged to be a serial accuser for money and the other is alleged to have forged the evidence). We'll have to see how those accusations play out.

We already know that there are entrenched interests who do not want the evidence to be closely examined.

I think that the message was written by maybe an uncle or some long time family friend.....I'd hunt for a Ray or Roy in the family....or even a teacher who is also a family friend.

My guess...she was showing her picture to someone near Christmas and she asked that person to sign her book. Is the page where it's signed a picture of the school?

We don't know when it came out. What we do know is that she was a sophomore in 1977...and that Roy Moore's wife was in her classes and they're the same age.

I am so sick of this.

Moore was looking for a virgin to marry. Had a hard time, so prospects got younger and younger.

Were he a pedo, his behavior would have continued even after marriage. Like Biden.
