Why Alabama voters must spite the experts again
American Thinker ^ | 11/15/2017 | Steve Flesher

Up until one week ago, the worst thing one could claim about Judge Roy Moore was that he stood for the Ten Commandments as a judge and ticked off the ACLU.  While arguments exist constitutionally around that particular matter, Moore's actions in doing so were certainly not indicative of a man with a weak character who would exploit young ladies.  In fact, he stood for something and risked losing a political position.

Another matter that put Moore's political post at risk was his stance on marriage.  Again, he didn't go along to get along.  He stood for what he believes in.  His steel spine is yet another objective fact we're able to consider.

This is why Alabama voters trust Moore, who has proven himself when he promises to stand on important issues: religious liberty, securing our borders (which includes building a wall), the Second Amendment, protecting the unborn, etc.

This is unlike a lot of the so-called holier-than-thou "Republicans" in Washington who had no problem working with Ted Kennedy, who left a woman to die in his car, and other liberals in Congress.  They are the same ones who continually take stands to bash the current president after they refused to stand against the Obama regime for eight years.  They embody the swamp that Moore threatens.

The media and polls fail to grasp the massive skeptical nature now existing in Alabama. A significant number of papers in the state now only publish four times a week. I doubt if more than one adult in six even reads newspapers now.

If you lined up a hundred people who were pro-Moore a month ago, I would guess that 98 of them are still pro-Moore. If you asked them if Moore was a bit unusual, most would say yes....but virtually all of the pro-McConnell crowd are regarded as corrupt within the state.

> Where will he go to get his good reputation back?

All he has to do is not give up and not give in.

Because the place is filled with crooked deviants anyway.

Yes. In this regard he is just like Justice Thomas.

It doesn’t have to be done in court. I’m talking a statement, not a deposition. Any of the accusers could willingly attest under oath that the statements they are making are truthful and accurate. FWIW, I’m not taking any of them seriously until I see one.

None have been deposed yet that I know of, except through the non-legal Gloria Allred’ “version” of a deposition which includes a camera and a box of Kleenex.

This fiasco will only serve to get out the vote. Conservative voters in Alabama are angry, but not at Moore. They think the Washington Post and other media are trying to throw the election to a Democrat, with help from the swamp. Moore will win decisively.

Which begs the question of why there was any need to have a lawyer involved at all.

Of course, Gloria Allred isn't really functioning as a lawyer here. She's a publicist/propagandist.

And Hannity with his “deadline” using that now debunked yearbook inscription as his basis. However, I don’t think anyone thinks Hannity has any more than 4 cylinder intellectual horsepower.

I think I heard....

he reached over to lock the door....Sounds like she was sitting right next to him...the middle seat...not where a nice young lady would be.

And one would think she got in the car and locked the door. It was kinda automatic in those years.

The pattern seems to be....he calls her a liar...with no outright proof and he gets sued for defamation and loses.

Most likely the voters of Alabama will elect Moore if he hasn’t been forcibly removed from the ballot.

It’s interesting that someone can even be removed from the ballot for something like this when there are no charges filed and no evidence of him doing a darned thing wrong.

Frankly, I don’t think that is legal.

Regarding Judge Moore, the anti-constitutional republic Progressive Movement is certainly fighting tooth-and-nail to keep Moore out of the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Senate, the most unconstitutionally powerful office in the land imo.

After all, not only does the Senate wrongly help the likewise corrupt House to pass unconstitutional appropriation bills, bills that not only steal state powers but also state revenues uniquely associated with those powers, but consider this.

The Senate then approves state sovereignty-ignoring Supreme Court justices who declare the unconstitutional laws that the Senate helps the House to pass to be constitutional, Obamacare a great example.

What a scam!

Patriots need make sure that there are plenty of state sovereignty-respecting candidates on the 2018 primary ballots, and pink-slip career lawmakers by sending patriot candidate lawmakers to D.C. on election day.

They should never be shut up. That is the tool of the left. We need them talking and welcome it. We then destroy them with logic and make fun of their position with facts.

We should never tell them, or any poster here, to shut up.

Nice research! I am not a lawyer, so I have trouble understanding how the left get away with defamation of character, slander, and outright lies?

"However, I don’t think anyone thinks Hannity has any more than 4 cylinder intellectual horsepower."

You're being too kind with your assessment of his intelligence.
