The pile on against Roy Moore has been swift and fierce. But is it right? I ask because few want to admit what is definitely true: the timing is awfully politically convenient and the behavior described doesn't fit anything we know about him. The swiftest pile on over Roy Moore has come not from Democrats, but from a bunch of Republicans who have hated his guts for years. And now it's pay back time. Look, I know I'm going to get set on fire for this piece, but I think it needs to be said.
If the allegations are true, Roy Moore needs to step aside. But how do we know? I have to tell you that this seems like a political miracle for the Democrats with a most convenient timing and most convenient pile on. To listen to most, if Roy Moore is guilty he needs to step aside and if he is innocent he needs to step aside and clear his name. Moore's opponents have constructed the argument in such a way that the only way forward is for him to get out of the race. That's awfully convenient for a lot of people who hate him for political reasons.
Part of my character disposition is that when I see the whole herd running in one direction I tend to stop and wonder if I really should and I have reached that point with Roy Moore. I actually reached it a couple of days ago and it has taken me this long to decide it is worth saying anything given the undoubted blowback from a bunch of people whose opinions I really don't care about (and a few whose opinions I do) when it gets right down to it. I think it is.

When Lindsey Graham comes clean on his alternate lifestyle then I will start to pay attention to the Moore allegations—not one day before..
If the charge is true, even allowing for the reasons why women don’t come forward for many years, why didn’t she come forward with this during the primary? That was only a couple of months ago.
Maybe if she had, it would have been Brooks-Strange instead of Moore-Strange. She says she’s a Republican who voted for Trump. Why wouldn’t you do this for the party, again ,IF true?

None of Roy Moore’s girlfriends ever drowned in a car while he swam and walked away.
Either lies, stupidity, or a naivety matched nowhere in modern science. And maybe an attention deficit problem mixed in.

IF the allegations by the then 14 year old are true, then he should step aside. All the others don’t bother me at all.
Is it illegal to kiss a 17-year-old now and/or at that time 40 years ago? I don’t think “age of consent” laws have anything to do with dating, just physical activity. So you could date someone underage as long as it was non-sexual. I have no idea if “kissing” is an activity that would violate an “age of consent” law. None of these articles are even asking these basic questions.
He emphatically denied anything involving the 14-year-old, which is activity that would almost certainly be illegal now or then if it was true. But conflating the other alleged activity with it is invalid. They are not comparable incidents at all.

Are the witnesses anyone that anyone has ever heard of before? What makes them more credible than the alleged victims themselves--who are speaking up only now to save the Republic after keeping silent during Moore's 40-year career in law and electoral politics?
People who dislike Trump believe the stories. People who support Moore believe Moore.
And besides that, don’t we believe in redemption anymore?

“Notice none of the people in either party calling on Moore to get off the #ALSen ballot are calling on Menendez to resign, even though he’s under indictment for bribery and is alleged to have traveled overseas to have sex with 13 YEAR OLDS!”

Until it reaches a court of law, where he can be judged by a judge or jury of his peers....
.... It totally means nothing.
But the whole story is what gets to “meaning something”. The full story is that so many people are coming out, and many even report that he hung around places that young people hung around in / at.
So there could be something to this - BUT, and I’ve been screaming about this - This is a court thing. If charges are pressed on someone then they are innocent until proven - proven - guilty. So not evidence, not people saying things, but proof that he committed crimes.
They do this crap at strategic times because cheating and crime is the ONLY way a communist gets power in the US. They have to steal it.
Without this, they would never win and the whole party would be out within 6 years.
We need to fight this not because of the content of the charges - because only a judge and jury can do that - we need to fight this because if we do then we can finally get rid of the communists !
