....Trump’s famous “because you’d be in jail” line is constantly rotated throughout the Internet via memes and videos on social media to this day; however, what many seem to have forgotten is the first part of Trump’s statement: he promised to assign a special prosecutor to look into Clinton’s crimes...

... I believe Trump was finalizing his decision to appoint Mueller as his special prosecutor to investigate Clinton. Don’t believe it? Keep reading.

Tony Podesta stepping down is a clue.

Tony stepped down because his company was losing all of its clients. Not because of Mueller, but because of Fox News. Podesta even said that himself.

To be fair, Manafort and Papadopolos are Podesta’s people.

So Mueller knew he was being tapped to be the Special Investigator when he met with Trump? I’m thinking he may have asked Trump some entrapment type questions during that conversation because Mueller is just that kind of scum.

My fear is we may see a flury of indictments against Flynn his son and associates along with Kuschner and maybe Tony Podesta thrown in for good measure. All designed to shock and further isolate President Trump.

I am so sick of this fantasy. It keeps people from being responsive to what is really going on, a coup. It keeps the masses quiet, like MSM news has done for decades.

Or did NPR get the story from Ruddy?

‘Donald Trump interviewed Robert Mueller for the position of FBI director, a senior administration official has confirmed.

The confirmation comes one day after Trump friend and Newsmax Media CEO Chris Ruddy appeared on “PBS Newshour” Monday and said the president had interviewed Mueller for the position just days before he was appointed to be special counsel.

“The president did talk with him in the days before he was named special counsel,” Ruddy said. “I think there’s a conflict there.”’

http://dailycaller.com/2017/06/13/white-house-official-confirms-trump-interviewed-mueller-for-fbi-director-job/

Here’s the one that says definitely Ruddy was the source:

‘A day before former FBI Director Robert Mueller accepted the appointment to be the special counsel probing Russian meddling in the presidential election, President Trump met with him to talk about taking another turn as FBI director.

The interview was first mentioned byTrump friend and Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy in an interview on PBS’ “NewsHour” Monday evening.

Mr. Trump, Ruddy said, “was looking at [Mueller] potentially to become the next FBI director. That hasn’t been published but it’s true.”’

Given info that has been released and people giving interviews it is quite possible that Jr could be indicted..or he may not be.

If he gets indicted Mama Ivana will get interesting because it will be Kushner V Jr.

I have to say Carter Page Congressional transcript is so bizarre that if his interview with Mueller/FBI was anything like that I would wonder about his mental status and want someone else or docs to corroborate his testimony.

And yet I was dead on right about Manafort.

And I am right about my claim very early on that flippers would be a focus..despite to this day getting ridiculed for saying it

It is how Weissmann operates..as do other prosecutors

http://fortune.com/2017/11/01/trump-mueller-russia-george-papadopoulos/

“Finally, we had the federal prosecutor meet with the reluctant individual and his attorney. It was not pretty. The attorney said, essentially, “This is espionage. This is assisting our sworn enemy. The jurors will hate you no matter what, but I promise you and your attorney that I will throw the prosecutorial book at you if you don’t cooperate. I will not accept any deal from your attorney after today, and when the time comes for your trial, I will beat you like a seal pup on a sheet of ice and watch you bleed.” Twelve seconds later, we had cooperating suspect.”

I’d like to pre-order mine now, please, with onion and tomato. I hope you’re right.

“It looks like we agree the scope of the investigation could go completely away from “Trump and his associates”.

No, I don’t agree with this..I agree that others could get scooped in..like Podesta.

I absolutely do not agree with the idea that the investigation was a smoke screen at the outset..or even now.

It’s a secret alliance. It would, IMO, be illegal. And it should not be promoted as fact

Or did NPR get the story from Ruddy?

Newsmax said that got the story from NPR.

But this is a sting, so it must be the opposite of that.

I’m thinking he may have asked Trump some entrapment type questions during that conversation because Mueller is just that kind of scum.

If the meeting took place, that would be one explanation. Mueller is that type of guy.

The Newsmax story you linked was not written by Ruddy. All it says is that NPR cites two sources. The Newsmax story never intimates who these sources are.

My link identifies the sources. One was Ruddy, who was interviewed by NPR. The other is an unnamed WH official who, it is claimed, confirmed Ruddy’s report.

It’s all consistent.

Chris Ruddy is Newsmax. He is the CEO. If Newsmax says they got the story from NPR, then the evidence says they (Ruddy and Newsman) got the story from NPR.

“Muller (via Trump) probably showed them that he had the goods on them all...”

I think that’s very possible, and it is more than that. In that meeting between DJT and Mueller, allegedly for the FBI Director job, Trump probably showed Mueller that he has the goods on him and he’d be smart to play ball.

It’s not complicated. All the Newsmax story said was that NPR had two sources. It doesn’t identify the sources. That is not inconsistent with Ruddy being one of the sources. In fact, he WAS one of the sources. If you read my links you will see that NPR only had two sources: Ruddy and an unnamed official.

Look at the dates. The Newsmax story is written on June 7th. They cite NPR at that time.

Your link is June 13th. That story cites an NPR interview on the 12th. And again Newsmax is Ruddy.

The silence is deafening ...

I am of the opinion that something is going on behind the scenes. Perhaps the most believable indication being the Dems that are throwing Clinton under the bus and her near disappearance from the public square.

No, my link does not say the story was first published on the 13th. It says it was last UPDATED on the 13th:

‘CBS NEWS

Last Updated Jun 13, 2017 8:59 PM EDT’

Here is the quote that clarifies the source:

‘The interview was first mentioned by Trump friend and Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy in an interview on PBS’ “NewsHour” Monday evening.’

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-interviewed-robert-mueller-for-fbi-director/

If you post to me again, please answer the following two questions.

A: Who were NPR’s two sources?

B: How do you know the Monday interview was NPR’s first mention of the Ruddy info? I.e.: something led to NPR’s interview of Ruddy. NPR wouldn’t interview a conservative friend of Trump’s just for the pleasure. In some venue NPR most likely got the info from Ruddy and released it, and then followed up with an interview.
