Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir on Monday, Nov. 6 accused Iran of an act of war in reference to the Iranian-backed Yemeni Houthi missile attack on Riyadh airport Saturday.
On Sunday, Irans supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei secretly ordered a significant reshuffle in the high commands of the Iranian army and navy. Brig. Gen. Mohammad Hossein Dadras was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff, with orders to boost the intelligence and operational preparedness of the Army. He came from the post of commander of ground forces. In a separate notice, Khamenei promoted Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi to commander of the Navy, replacing Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, who was elevated to Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army for operational coordination. Military sources add: Sayari spent the last ten years developing the combat doctrine practiced by the Iranian Navy and Revolutionary Guards in the Gulf, which hinges on special forces, especially marines, for naval and ground warfare. He was responsible for the tactics and harassment that Iranian forces directed at US warships and warplanes operating in the Gulf. Sayari hands these functions over to Rear Admiral Khanzadi, while himself joining the Armys General Staff as head of operations of Irans armed forces.
Khamenei emphasized that all these appointments were approved by the chief of staff, Maj.-Gen Abdolrahim Mousavi. This major reshuffle occurs at a time of high tension between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, on the one hand, and Iran, on the other. This week it rose to eve-of-war pitch. Saud Foreign Minister Adel Jubeir accused Iran of orchestrating an act of war and asserted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had the right to defend itself. He went on to say: The Iranians cant interfere in the affairs of countries in the region and expect to get a free pass. There is no doubt that missiles and suicide boats are coming from Iran to the Al Houthis.
We want to avoid war [with Iran] at all costs, he said, but Iran continues to violate every international law and every international norm. Iran is waging a war through its regional proxies, Hezbollah in Lebanon and Al Houthis in Yemen, Jubair said, adding, we must say enough is enough to Iran.
I say they fight to the last man.
Glory be to allah. War be upon him.
The old false prophet himself—Mahomet, (British spelling) loved robbing and killing people, especially Jews and other Arab tribes. A war would simply honor the “perfect man’s” tradition. Go for it.
Oil futures !
Why don’t the Saudi’s create their own ‘proxies’ to fight Iran?
They can secretly give millions to undercover counter revolutionaries who want to restore the Shaw to power.
The House of Saud has the funds to create havoc in Iran if they really want to. I say go for it.
> I remember the good old days when Iran and Iraq were at war. <
Not likely today because geopolitical genius George W. Bush removed Iran’s greatest enemy, Saddam Hussein.
And let’s not forget to give honorable mention to Jimmy Carter. He removed the Shah. And that led to a radical, Islamic Iran.
George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter. Just doing the work radical Islam couldn’t do.
As for Carter, well, in modern times it all goes back to Carter’s inaction in Iran.
But after a hard slog W left an Iraq in pretty good shape. It was Obama who abandoned Iraq for the Iranians.

I must respectfully disagree. I might be wrong, but I see strong parallels in Afghanistan/Iraq mess to Vietnam. Vietnam ended with helicopters taking off from the roof of the US embassy. I fear that Afghanistan and Iraq will both end the same way. A tragic waste of blood and treasure.
And who is responsible for Vietnam? Nixon? Ford? No, it’s the man who botched the operation: LBJ.
The same goes with Afghanistan and Iraq. I do not blame Obama, or Trump. They play the parts of Nixon and Ford. It’s all on George W. Bush.
Sorry for the rant. And as I said, I might be wrong. But to my way of thinking, it’s all on Bush. He was like LBJ, only worse. LBJ botched Vietnam. W botched two Vietnams.
Iraq not only ended up right but Libya gave up
their real WMDs
Go figure how a Sunni Muslim preezy would help Shiites so much
The W mistake was not bombing Iran into glass
after they joined the fray with IEDs
More like active support for the Ayatollah.
Wait. A cleric is making war plans and ordering to troops? That’s worse than having an Austrian Corporal do it.
Will Israel be invited in?
dam Persians anyway
