At least 27 people have died after a gunman opened fire at a church in Texas during Sunday services.
The attack happened at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs in Wilson County.
A police commissioner at the scene confirmed that at least 27 people had died. Several others are reported to be injured.
The San Antonio FBI branch said its agents had been deployed, and there was no indication of the gunman's motive.
The FBI also said that while only one shooter was reported, it was looking into other possibilities.
Local ABC affiliate KSAT 12 reported the gunman entered the church at around 11:30 local time (17:30 GMT). It also said he had been killed in the aftermath.
Photos and video from the scene showed the area taped off by local law enforcement.
A number of helicopters have arrived to transport the wounded, KSAT 12 reporter Max Massey said.
Texas governor Greg Abbott said: "Our prayers are with all who were harmed by this evil act. Our thanks to law enforcement for their response."
He said more details would be released by the Texas Department of Public Safety shortly.

Yep, this is it alright. Look at her review of the church.

My children attend with my in laws and absolutely love it there. They feel loved, welcome and always come home smiling and sharing what they learned that day.
Good for you. When I worked and carried a lot if money I did, but I am from the south we do this stuff down here, I never worry i know the men around have guns. Its just what they do protect us...I am surprised so many don’t carry in church.
“Carry is illegal in churches, although only prosecutable if posted. Sounds more like Illinois than a supposed red state. So yes,Texas gun laws SUCK on ice.”
NOT TRUE. I am in Texas, go to a large church and the pastor brags that even the choir is armed. IT IS NOT ILLEGAL IN TEXAS TO CARRY IN CHURCH.
Keep reading and count.
Why didn’t anyone shoot back?
During the freeway shooting spree around Los Angeles, there were bumper stickers that said, “Honk if you’re reloading.”
A church does not need to take any action if it wishes to allow handgun license holders to conceal carry or open carry in church buildings.
Church stats published earlier. All white, maybe 1% NativeAmerican, 0% black.
All the media sources are backing hard away from that number now. One is too many, but I suspect the actual number of dead is way below the initial reports
thus downed person is not person Ward per congressperson .... oh boy ... prayers congressperson had untrue info
So, was there a sign as described by the law?
Don’t say anything about and do it anyway. There are plenty of goof smsll 9MM guns today. None need know until danger’s hour tolls. In Baptist chrcrd yhe Jimmah Carter Bsptistd will nevrr not rsise hugh stink evrn if it is legsl. Just carry and keep quiet.
Oh man that was so bad my old stomping grounds
Wikipedia says 81% white, but that includes some Hispanic.
Are you keyboard challenged?
Well, the Congressman is a Democrat ...
I’m a member of a large evangelical church here in SE Virginia. We’re not a megachurch by any stretch, but we have more than 400 people attending each of the Sunday morning services. A few years ago, our senior pastor and the church board made the difficult decision to arm our security team. I believe it was—and is—the right choice. All have been fully trained and have concealed carry permits. About half are current or former law enforcement officers.
We don’t advertise the fact that our security team is armed, but if evil elects to visit our church, we will fight back.
This is horrible. Sending prayers.
Less than and yes ... one is one too many
