The fading Republican establishment remains unable to reconcile its ongoing collapse, and continues to scapegoat Donald Trump for all the GOPs troubles instead of looking in the mirror.
Two weeks after an outraged George W. Bush lashed out at Trump, accusing him of emboldening bigotry and white supremacy, on Saturday we learn just how deep the animosity toward Trump runs within the extended Bush household. In a new book to be released this month from historian Mark Updegrove, titled The Last Republicans, and previewed on Saturday by the NYT and CNN, former President George H.W. Bush said he considers Trump a blowhard, only interested in feeding his own ego. Meanwhile, his son, former President George W. Bush, thinks Trump fans public anger and came to office without any understanding of the job.
When asked about Donald Trump in May 2016, GHW Bush said: I dont like him I dont know much about him, but I know hes a blowhard. And Im not too excited about him being a leader.
His son was just as vocal: Wow, this guy doesnt know what it means to be president, the junior Bush said, indicating that a president should not exploit the anger, incite it but rather come up with ideas to deal with it.

In any case, both former presidents worry that Mr. Trump has blown up a Republican Party that they spent two lifetimes building; Dubya also told Updegrove: Im worried that I will be the last Republican president.

Im worried that I will be the last Republican president.
Jumped the shark.
I insist that it’s not a coincidence that these comments have come out just before the Saudi government began arresting a bunch of princes and political leaders who once owned the Bush family as subsidiaries.
I find it amusing they think they are still relevant.
“George W. Bush threw in his own two cents as well.
“This guy doesn’t know what it means to be president,” he said. “
Like “W” would know? It grates on me every day that I actually voted for both of these worthless a$$holes! TG we didn’t get the “dumbest one, Little Yebbie,” in the White House this time, not that he actually could have beaten Hitlary, his “presidency” would have been like watching paint dry for four years.
same for me , and well said on every word.
Well, I lost ALL respect for George W. when he let Terry Schiavo deliberately and cruelly starve to death . . . she couldn’t even receive communion. I know exactly what Trump would have done in that situation.
So, for the who Fam Damily of Bushes to actually vote for a well known criminal, murderer, and traitor instead of Trump, just because he kind of insulted Jebby-poo, it shows what nasty narrow minded jackasses the whole lot of Bushes were. And may they all go to hell.
Stay out da damn Lieberal Boooshies ...
Ninth circle of hell...
If accurate it means that GHWB would have preferred that Hillary Clinton appoint Goodwin Liu to the USSC; that says a great deal.
George HW Bush clearly shows the complete corruption of the higher ups.
GHW you sucked, your family sucks, and you really should be focused on the last days..........
More evidence of what we all already knew.
The Bushes are the best family the Saudi’s ever bought.
A turd voted for a turd. Shocking!
Henry Olsen: Reagan And Trump Blue-Collar Coalitions Are Mirror Images Of Each Other
the bush family is tied to the same corrupt people that the Clintons are. a deal was struck years ago between the Clintons and the bushes....we have not had an honest president since Reagan and Carter. yes I said carter. he was just incompetent not selling out are country for 30 Pieces of silver or who ever had the best deal for them.
The Bushs represent a problem the Republicans have had since shortly after the partys start. I saw a 1910 delegate pin today, it said, “We oppose Democrats in office and Republicans that act like Democrats when they get in to office.”
I believe JEB was supposed to get the RINO nomination and run as the "designated loser." The plan was for Hil to be president. Thus not surprising that GHW would have voted for her. JMHO
