Add Rob Reiner to the list of celebrities who wouldnt accept an invitation to visit Donald Trumps White House.
Speaking with Yahoo Entertainment about his timely new political drama, LBJ, the outspoken filmmaker & political activist indicated that hed steer clear of a one-on-one meeting with Trump, even if the invitation came with the opportunity to screen his portrait of Americas 36th president (played by Woody Harrelson) for the 45th inhabitant of the Oval Office.
I would never go to his White House, Reiner says emphatically. Not only do I not agree with him politically, but I find him to be a disagreeable person, and a person with no feelings or empathy for anybody but himself.
Hopefully our country & democracy will survive this presidency, but this is one of the biggest challenges democracy has ever faced to have someone as DISREPUTABLE as Donald Trump in the White House.
In the unlikely event that Trump does watch LBJ, which opens in theaters on Nov. 3, Reiner isnt holding his breath that hell learn anything from it.
He doesnt seem to want to learn anything; thats the most upsetting thing. He has no interest in it, because its not about him personally. He only cares about his own survival and his own pocketbook.
Reiner, who was 16 when Johnson took office, admits to not thinking highly of LBJ during his administration, especially as the Vietnam War grew to overshadow his domestic agenda.

Another flop
But Hollywood doesnt care
Some cartoon or superhero flick will offset it
Robert MacNamara
HUD
Welfare rules banishing fathers to the netherworld leaving legions and generations of dependent underclass
The right kind of SOB, and both are disagreeable.
A lot of lives were ruined because of LBJ.
It is so impressive when people who would never get invited to the White House declare that the would not go.
Being in my mid 40’s, I’ve never been in a situation where somebody could draw my name in a draft lottery and I would be forced to go fight without my consent.
The Draft is such a foreign idea now, I can’t imagine the situation it would take for the draft to take place again.
Or...How about “The Least Deserved, and Most Proudly Worn Silver Star in American Military History”?
Whether or not he actually said that is still debated. Whether or not it was out of character for him to say something like that is not.
I seriously doubt the perverted bastard will ever get an invite

Trump (to Rob Meathead): ‘Don’t worry, you will NEVER get an invite as long as I’m in the White House, Meathead.’
Meathead. Who knew back then how appropriate that was?
Hannity’s movie, ‘Let There Be Light’ was #11 and it was in about 500 theaters. I wonder if it will be #1 this week...I’d laugh if the limited released movie beats the others this weekend. We are going to help make Sean’s movie #1!
I bet it doesn’t include LBJ’s KKK membership.
Let there be Light is still not in my area. I checked on Hannity’s website. Maybe next week...
A lot of students were afraid of the Draft back then & tried to get out of it. Once LBJ became president, the US changed in many ways that were not good.
Inviting Hollywood celebs to your house is like inviting your toilets to back up.
Hey Reiner, ever had sex with any actress or actor who was trying for a part in one of your movies?
Win Win
