One of the many parts of Barack Obamas strategy of dismantling US foreign policy and influence in the world was his attempt to normalize relations with Communist Cuba.
**snip** This Assembly does not have the power to end the US embargo. It is based in US law which only the United States Congress can change. No, what the General Assembly is doing today, what it does every year at this time, is political theater.
**full face slap** When the United States abstained on this resolution last year, its decision was explained by saying, We recognize that the future of the island lies in the hands of the Cuban people. There is a casual cruelty to that remark for which I am profoundly sorry.

Just wow - good for her and the Trump Administration!

OUTSTANDING.
The bigger FU was reminding the UN we are a sovereign nation and they are powerless to prevent our Congress from enacting law consistent with our national interests.
WINNING!
That was President Trump speaking.
Haley was the messenger, and she did a great job delivering the message.
Yes, they “should have”, but the NEVER will. Both are too self-absorbed and arrogant to even give this any serious thought.
Excellent post. Thanks for sharing.
Haley brilliantly admonished the pointless UN’s interference in US affairs....”You’re not the boss of us.”
Glad everyone enjoyed reading this.
Ciao.

Heh...thanks for that.
I really liked Nikki Haley at first, but her endorsement of Romney and the whole fiasco over the Confederate flag in South Carolina really made me start to hate her. Not to mention her opposition to Trump during the primaries. But since becoming UN ambassador, she’s surprisingly getting back in my good graces.
I wonder if she is still on never Trumper.
I feel exactly the same way (liked, disliked, really disliked, now happy with her at UN) - she has been an outstanding choice for the UN. She appears to be 100% for and supportive of President Trump’s way of looking at the world, post Obama & she definitely pulls no punches in her speeches.
Yeah, exactly.
At first I really liked Haley, and then her political algorithm seemed to get really, really messed up, but since joining the Trump administration she has definitely been a one of the shining stars.
She’ll be the first female president of the US in the not to distant future.
OK, I’m sorry but Trump was wrong.
We are not at all tired of WINNING!
Keep it coming, and if the libs quiet down again, just TWEET ‘em back into a frenzy.
Ditto. She’s been a pleasant surprise.
Funny. That crossed my mind as well.
I thought the same thing about Gov. Palin.
