For the past couple years, Ivanka Trump has claimed at various times that she has had no major role in her fathers presidential campaign and that she tries to stay out of politics now that shes a senior White House advisor.
Ivanka reportedly encouraged President Donald Trump to hire Anthony Scaramucci as White House communications director; his disastrous 10-day tenure brought increased scrutiny to her and Jareds role as unofficial White House personnel managers.
It turns out that Trump also has his government novice daughter and son-in-law to thank for encouraging him to hire Paul Manafort to work for his campaign between March and August 2016.
Back in the spring of 2016, Ivanka and Jared probably had very different ideas about how Manafort could benefit Trumps presidential campaign.
The New York Times reported that in early 2016, Manafort met with Thomas J. Barrack Jr., a friend to Manafort as well as to Trump and Ivanka. Barrack was impressed, and passed on Manaforts specific recommendations for Trumps campaign to Ivanka and Jared.
Ivanka, in turn, gave Manaforts advice to her father.
On the surface, Ivanka and Jared seemed to think that Manafort, a long-time political consultant and lobbyist, would bring professionalism to a campaign that up until that point had been run by the scatter-shot Corey Lewandowski. They specifically hoped he could help corral delegates for the upcoming Republican National Convention.

Good point!
There seems to be a trend...
“would bring professionalism to a campaign that up until that point had been run by the scatter-shot Corey Lewandowski”
I personally know someone who was working for the Trump campaign since it’s inception. That “scatter shot” was the initial brains behind the Trump Train.
Jared and Ivanka told DJT to stop with the right wing rhetoric “build the wall”. “Illegals should be locked up” etc while Lewandowski was the one who told DJT to keep it up.
These two boyscouts are going to get themselves indicted. Trump should keep them out for their own good.
Stop with the attacks on our own!
The Rats are trying to get members of the Trump train to turn on themselves - do not fall for their games of divide and rule!
Unity in the Trump movement above all!
No step back! No defeat to the Marxist !
Whoever thought Javanka knew enough about the dog-eat-dog world of D.C. politics to give advice to the President? They knew far less than he did about the treacherous Swamp. That was just nuts.
The way this story is unfolding, the recommendation to Ivanka and Jared to hire Manafort probably came from John Podesta.

August 18, 2016 - Trump dumps Manafort from the team
Not sure if the two are connected, but...
Laughed out loud..then I said..wait a minute..its sadly not joke and could be true
Seems everyone Ivanka recommended were DC swamp monsters.
They specifically hoped he could help corral delegates for the upcoming Republican National Convention.IIRC, that's exactly what he did.
And shortly thereafter, he was out and Kelly came aboard.
“Company A” and “Company B” in the Manafort indictment are the Podesta Group and a company called Mercury Public Affairs. I did a quick review of their website, and it looks like they are very much a New York oriented lobbying firm. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve worked with the Trump family in the past.
Moral of the story. Don’t hire your relatives.
Never trust a Barack!
Manafort was hired specifically to manage delegates, a job he had done before for others. He was hired because he was an expert. It’s important to remember he had been selected because he had worked as a delegate expert for some other politician(s) in the past. Wonder who they were?
I think he did it for Ford, don’t know about any others.
Remember when there were ongoing attempts to steal delegates? That’s why Manafort was brought in, to run the convention and get Trump nominated. Job well done!
Jared and Ivanka also brought in Kellyanne, Bannon, and the Mercers. So what’s your point?
Under the “strange timeline” tag:
August 16, 2016 - Trump receives first Nat’l Security Briefing
August 18, 2016 - Trump dumps Manafort from the team

When it came to winning the election, he fired the right guy, and he hired the right woman.
Aaaaaayup!
