President Donald Trump’s name does not appear one time in his former campaign manager Paul Manafort’s indictment records released Monday.
Manafort and his business associate, Rick Gates, were indicted in a federal court on 12 counts, including conspiracy to launder money, conspiracy against the United States, and making false and misleading statements.
The indictment related to the core of Mueller’s Russia probe, which began in May when the former FBI director was appointed special counsel, does not mention Trump’s name once. Mueller was appointed by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to investigate Russian interference in the U.S. election, as well as any related issues, including possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government.
Manafort turned himself in to the FBI field office in Washington, D.C., Monday morning.
There are no allegations of collusion with Russian operatives in the indictment, which was issued by a Washington grand jury on Friday and unsealed after Manafort’s arrest.
Manafort, 68, joined the Trump campaign last March as an adviser for the Republican convention. In May, the longtime Republican consultant was promoted to campaign chairman. He resigned in August after reports about his consulting work in Ukraine emerged.
The two business associates are set to make their first appearances in front of U.S. District Magistrate Judge Deborah Robinson Monday afternoon, a law enforcement official told CNN.
That’s a typical approach.
What I want to know is how long is this going to continue. If this is all they have after tens of thousands of man hours, then put it to bed.
Don’t think that’s what I heard on the news. It’s about “time”.
The President did nothing illegal as a candidate.
You know the old saying, “where there’s smoke, there’s fire.”
There’s not even smoke here and today’s indictments have nothing to do with the Trump campaign.
Trump’s enemies in the press and among Democrats have nothing.
Nothing to show for their anti-Trump hatred.

If Mueller is a good attorney this may be an attempt to get into John Podesta’s lobbying firm. Podesta just resigned from it today and Manafort worked with him at the time on this project which the firm did not report.
1. Special prosecutor appointment law must be changed to mandate a very narrow probe of a very specific area and in keeping with it’s basic intent to avoid the suspicion of not being able to be handled by the normal DOJ process; but that is all; nothing open ended.
2. But as the process proceeds, should it uncover suspicion of unrelated matters, the special prosecutor should be mandated to announce it is “releasing” a matter for possible separate criminal probe by DOJ. (which it seems is exactly how the matters about Manafort should have been handled).
HOWEVER this “special prosecutor” seems in every way NOT to be at arms length from the DOJ but is in fact acting as a mere extension of the remnants of the Obama DOJ and it’s friends. Nothing at all could be said to be politically neutral about the process Mueller is conducting.
Manafort was working for the pro-Russian Ukrainian at the time. Soros was on the other side....big time. Soros owns Ukraine.
I doubt that anyone really expected he would be named/mentioned. This is far from over, I think.

Doesn't have to. The MSM and communists Democrats already made the connection. And millions and millions will believe it. President Trump is in real trouble and doesn't get it.

This is only a “bigger story” if Trump is actually guilty of something.
They are going after the Podestas, not Trump. The indictment has nothing to do with Trump/ Manafort, it’s all about Podesta/ Clinton.
My thoughts also. They want something on Trump, no matter how minute.
Sheesh..I guess you havent been paying attention. Every single feeper here (but me) knows this is all can act and Mueller is play acting with trump. WH players NOT UNDER INVESTIGATION..its all about nailing Dems.
