A former foreign policy adviser for the Trump campaign pleaded guilty to making false statements to FBI agents as they questioned him about his connections to Russian government officials, according to a criminal complaint unsealed Monday.
The charges against George Papadopoulos were unsealed Monday after Robert Mueller’s special counsel team announced indictments against two other figures in the Trump campaign — former Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort and his former associate, Richard Gates.
According to the charges, which were originally filed in July, Mr. Papadopoulos made false statements to the FBI about his interactions and relationships with Russian officials when he was interviewed in January.

IIRC, this is the guy who kept trying to get the Trump campaign involved with the Russians only to get shutdown repeatedly by Sam Clovis.
In my opinion it is Mueller who is on trial here. He is in the process of exposing himself. Lets see where it goes.

Whoever this guy is, this is yet another indication that there are at least two sets of laws in our country - one for us and one for the political elites. How are Hillary and so many others like her not charged for “lying to the FBI” (which is now lying to us and thwarting congressional investigations)?
Easy. They’re not put under oath and there are no recordings or transcripts of the interviews. According to the special counsel statute, there’s no way Mueller should even hold that position, given his relationship with Comey and Comey’s admission that he leaked his so-called memo so a special prosecutor would be appointed. But, for people like the Clintons, Comey, Mueller, etc., those are just “technicalities”...

Yes, there is, and that’s why you should NEVER voluntarily speak to the cops. They are not truth seekers, they are arrest seekers. That’s what they revel in and that’s really what they are paid to do.

I agree with Roger Stone that Trump needs to force a DOJ investigation of Uranium One. Mueller will be implicated in that.
