The problem with the media is they believe their own BS. Never believe your own BS.

An industry of people whose jobs depend on presenting factually accurate information about what’s happening in the world

Nicely phrased. Do they teach this in journalism school these days?

Sharyl Attkisson even tried it at CBS.

Yup.

The media is WILDLY partisan. Way, way, way to one side.

Trump nailed it.

By any objective criteria, the MSM has been inherently and openly hostile to Trump and were openly biased in favor of Hillary Clinton and Democrats. No rational person, whatever their politics, can view them as “independent journalists”. However history has shown that the persistent barrage of unopposed propaganda does have an effect on the masses. It has been messy at times, but it is very important for Trump to fight back and periodically go on the offensive against theses biased organizations.

The key thing here is that Donald Trump fought back. Yet I still see Freepers here constantly saying that Trump needs to "tone it down" and be above it all - be more "presidential."

This approach is exactly what turned George W. Bush into a national laughingstock and ruined his presidency (same as his father). Amazingly, little brother Jeb doubled down on the "nice guy" approach during his cringe-worthy presidential run and got utterly destroyed.

Mitt Romney and John McCain took the same "high road" approach against Obama during their campaigns and they got clobbered as well. The Democrats play for keeps and if Republicans are going to be patsies, they will lose every time.

Even more sadly, you have the Bushes, Romney and McCain still licking the boots of the Democrats that mastered them. They are all in full Patty Hearst Stockholm Syndrome mode.

Donald Trump took a combative take-no-prisoners approach and not only did he win but he's still winning.

The media has been hunting for a scandal on Trump ... they dug up the wrong tree ...

They’ve got a ready made one now... right under their biased noses ... with hillary and obama... and all who participated with those 2 corrupt individuals.

Surely, they will jump right on it with the same enthusiasm they did with Trump. (*sarcasm alert*)

They really believe that.

Sad (for them and us)

To quote Dave Burge at Iowahawkblog “Journalism is about covering important stories. With a pillow, until they stop moving.”

No, all President Trump did was draw our attention to the corruptness of the media, the media has killed itself.

When MSM reports a story you are better off believing the exact opposite of what’s being reported.

Who are you going to believe, he asks: An industry of people whose jobs depend on presenting factually accurate information about what’s happening in the world

Nobody had to read any farther to make a decision. We have seen the deep state and democrat lies over and over presented to us as facts and then can go on line and see normal people giving out facts to disprove the MSM.

Trump just rallied the woken.

Can’t all the billionaires keep the media afloat anyways? They are never going to die. They are just projecting their victim hood to get money and sympathy notes.

Wikileaks revealed MSM journolist grand-scale collusion, to throw a US election.

It is possible to retain the 1st Amendment and yet put journolists out of business.

Was in a meeting with stock analysts a couple weeks ago, and a question arose with respect to media “news” companies and how their biases/partisan coverage could keep going as people turn them off. The response was that these companies don’t make money on ads any more, it is about getting a core audience and holding it in order to charge subscription fees that are included in your overall cable/satellite tv bill.

Long term business proposition was a continued polarization to keep eyeballs glued on both sides of the political spectrum. Until model changes and you can choose to only get OANN or Fox or Trump TV, the CNN/PMSNBC’s of the world are still getting revenue.
