Pole dancing in line to become Olympic sport

The Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) confirmed yesterday that it has given observer status to the International Pole Sports Federation (IPSF) in a move which sets out a clear pathway towards full Olympic recognition.
Patrick Baumann, president of GAISF said it was an exciting time for pole sports and added: We will do everything within our remit to help them realise their full potential...

I miss Chris Farley. It’s funny because I never really liked him until the SNL sketch. Funniest thing I’ve ever seen! Swayze rocked it, too. Chris definitely impromptued that moment.

And my fave Pole dance is the polka, Frankie Yankovic conducting.One of my musicology professors was Dr. Jacob Neupauer, who when he wasn't promoting the accordion at his Neupauer Conservatory, wrote at least one polka that I know of, the Lehigh Valley Polka
