On Monday night, in the cradle of liberty, those disputes disappeared as Biden presented the Liberty Medal to McCain at the National Constitution Center, a nonprofit organization that touts bipartisanship and sits across the street from Independence Hall.
Another reality has also brought them together: President Trump, whose global outlook has helped crystallize just how closely aligned these two elder statesmen really are.
We believed in our country, and in our countrys indispensability to international peace and stability and to the progress of humanity, McCain said, growing unusually emotional at times during the address.

Bogie, I don’t know what the rules are regarding these types of broadcasts or complicity with them.
I know that it is disturbing. I still don’t know what John faced with regard to “not participating”.
Was he threatened? Were his fellow camp mates threatened?
I don’t know those things. I know he is called song-bird. This is probably why.
I have tried not to criticize his POW actions. I have a lot of respect for our troops and POWs in general. It goes against my beliefs to trash one of them, knowing they lived in very trying times.
I was fortunate not to have served in Vietnam. I have therefore tried to be as supportive of our troops as I could be. John is graced in under that.
If his fellow POWs wish to take him to task, that is their prerogative. I am not qualified to do so.
I know what he was like prior to his military service. I know what he was like during training. At that point, my criticism ends until after the war.
His next deeds I can address was his actions associated with his divorce until the present.
He’s been a disgusting person his whole life other than his military service. I’ll leave it to others if they think he operated with character during those years, or was simply the same man he always was outside the POW years.
I know what my thoughts are on that, but I don’t go there much.
Thank you for the link. That audio is out there. It stands on it’s own.
Just waiting on John the Asshole to die
FU McNuts! ESAD, already!
And, they're interchangeable!

listen at end, a veiled threat to McCain.
President: I have been very nice, but at some point I will fight back and it wont be pretty
“Long time foreign policy foes”
A lie right out of the gate. Heck McCain supported a lot of Obama’s foreign policies.
Were they ever foes?
The Uniparty!
I do know that many people have suffered in places like Syria because McCain helped to ferment war.( I suspect that the deep state or "military industrial complex", if you want to use an Eisenhower term, buried the audio to build a career based on a false public perception of patriotism, for the purpose of having a stooge in the Senate.)
Once a traitor...always a traitor..
I don’t remember when that audio surfaced, but I think it (or another sourced version) has been out there longer than you might think.
Was this part of an effort to keep John viable? I don’t know.
The surfacing of it now (again), won’t damage ham. At least I don’t think it will.
I’m not sure if you know it or not, but I have been seriously dumping on McCain since before his 2010 run for re-election. I am probably his biggest enemy here. I think he is perhaps the most vile political figure I’ve observed.
He has stabbed our cause in the back from a position of trust for decades.
Hillary and Bill Clinton are two other vile people, but many people recognize them as the enemy. All to many people have thought of McCain as a war hero ignoring everything else.
When the MSM propaganda machine is as uniform in its objective, as ours has been, it's easy to get people, on average, to believe anything.
This election stung them badly because it raised questions about their ability to direct people's thoughts.
Hence all the on-going babble about Russia and Trump.
Yes, they are desperate.
I don’t have time to dedicate to this now, but I will read the last half soon, having already read the first half.
Thank you.
