President Trump warned on Tuesday that he would "fight back" after Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) delivered a blunt denunciation of nationalist forces that was seen by many as a thinly veiled attack on the president.
"People have to careful, because at some point I fight back," Trump told WMAL radio host Chris Plante. "I'm being very nice. I'm being very, very nice. But at some point I fight back, and it won't be pretty."
McCain responded to Trump's comments moments later, saying that he has "faced far greater challenges than this," according to CNN.

Mr. President, don’t show your hand. Just play it!
They CONFIRM judges by vote, you prissy prick. You know damn well what I meant. Why don’t you go argue with a wall.
I dont expect youll have to much longer.
Trump should just laugh at the brain rotting McCain. He has the luxury of time, McCain does not-and I would remind him of that in frequent , brutal terms. The President is FAR kinder than I would be.
It sounds like your dad was a great guy. How cool it must have been growing up in a world where your father was shown such respect. It sounds like you are a great guy as well. Thank you for your service!
Wow, you should apply for a job as Trump’s speech writer. Excellent!
No, Billy. I didn’t know damn well what you meant.
I know damn well what you wrote, and it was stupid.
McAinal since he has been $inator as an undocumented Democrat pretending to be a Republican, has been protected by the left wing MSM. His code name to his mediot brothers is Maverick!
Trump's intel on McAinal will destroy him when it is released.
Defund/defang/vote out the undocumented Democrat traitors in Congress!
Trump is flushing out all the Rinos and Undocumented Democratic plants in Congress!
President Trump and we will get rid of Undocumented Democrats posing as Republicans in congress!
“Could McCains brain cancer be fake news to gain sympathy from the press and voters as well as insulate him from attacks by Trump? Six months from now he announces his cancer is in remission and receives the adulation of the press and his comrades in the Senate.”
McAinal is capable of what you noted!
I apologize. I thought you ware a sentient being.
Nah, you’re just trying to cover your tracks. You posted the same stupid crap twice.
Not supporting Republican swamp creatures isn’t the same as supporting Dems, and you know that. Senators don’t nominate judges, and that one apparently eluded you TWICE.
You would be better off not arguing with this guy anymore,he is near the end of his career, dying and is very bitter.
What is so grossly sad is how McCain is being used by the left wing scum and it is creepy, sleazy to see them sitting there as he goes on these rants,so pathetic
I am no fan of McCain at this point but the President needs to rein it in. There is little he can do to McCain that could approximate McCain’s best day in Hanoi. And McCain fidn’t get the worst, but he got more than the President could ever deal him
I am sure there are informant files from the Keating 5. Are there traitor files from Viet Nam?
Im all for ignoring McCain. The poor guy is on his way out. Everyone knows that both the tumors and the chemo cause dementia. Trump is a strong and vigorous man. His treatment of McCain makes him seem like a heartless bully.
McCain drew first blood. McCain is a scumbag of the lowest degree, has been all his life IMO
LOL, he got in trouble in the local media back in 1995 on the 50th anniversary of the year the atomic bombs were dropped on Japan, in a Veterans Day speech saying he thought we should have dropped more of them if the Japanese hadn't surrendered as quickly as they did. He never was one for political correctness, but then a lot of his generation never had to engage in that BS...
I have always, even now, been a bit reticent about criticizing him at all for that...I can’t bring myself to do it. Reading Admiral Stockdale’s book “In Love and War” I came to recognize that they all recognized that each man had a limit, and that varied widely from person to person, so they tried not to judge others on that.
I wasn’t there, so...I just don’t feel I can comment on it at all, and leave it up to his comrades there to criticize him on the basis of what happened that they knew about, since they understood the context.
But boy, do I ever condemn him for his conduct after the war. I detest it.
