This was my dad back in the day...it was a standard black and white image, and I colorized it in Photoshop...took me a while, but I was quite happy with the way it came out.
LOL, he got in trouble in the local media back in 1995 on the 50th anniversary of the year the atomic bombs were dropped on Japan, in a Veterans Day speech saying he thought we should have dropped more of them if the Japanese hadn't surrendered as quickly as they did. He never was one for political correctness, but then a lot of his generation never had to engage in that BS...
