CBS Retracts Story that Kaepernick Would Stand for Anthem if Signed

The woman perhaps, most singularly responsible for Colin Kaepernick remaining a free agent, and out of the NFL, has spoken. Much like you would expect, her words do not bode well for Kaepernick’s chances of resuming his career.

Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend, Nessa Diab, sent this tweet out on Sunday:

After strong reactions like that from Diab, and reports from Kaepernick’s camp, La Canfora retracted his story the statement he had made earlier on a CBS’ NFL pregame show.

By now, there's probably a large group of NFL players' girlfriends, wives and other assorted family members who'd like to catch this woman and, er, express their concerns re: gravy train derailment.

Reports that Kaepernick would stand for any games in 2017 have been out there even before he ended his 49ers contract. Now his girlfriend torpedoes him again, a few weeks after she compared the owner of the Ravens (who were considering signing Kaepernick) to a slave owner.

Pretty clearly, the people handling Kaepernick don't want him to play again - he's much more useful to them if he doesn't get onto some roster and remind everyone of his deficiencies as a QB. This way, they can go on pretending he's a victim of some oppression.
