I imagine that this will light up the comments section, but someone needs to write it: the conspiracy theories cropping up over the Las Vegas shooting are as noisome as mushrooms on a dunghill after a spring rain. In discussing some of the more outlandish and offensive ones, I will not document them lest I drive more traffic to the authors' websites.
Law enforcement is withholding information from us.
Of course it is. It always does. That's called good practice before police have interviewed all who might have information – scarcely a revelation.
Do I wish they would release all the data after the investigation is complete? Yes. But that has never been standard practice in this country, nor in any other. Conspiracy theorists would do well to remember Occam's Razor.

American citizens can’t handle the truth!
For example ... there's no way in hell this guy was a "professional gambler" who earned enough money to finance his lifestyle by winning money at casinos. For one thing, the casino business model is based on a rigged system where the house wins over the long term. And secondly, they don't give the kind of treatment that this guy apparently had (free rooms, etc.) to high rollers who actually WIN a lot of money. If anything, they would do whatever they could to chase people like that out the door.
He was an isolated, nasty piece of work made even more angry at people having fun and enjoying themselves. This would be supported by the reports he had cased other concert venues before deciding on this one.
Everybody loves a good conspiracy. But “conspiracy hunting” is getting your eye off the ball. The issue here is whether this guy was a converted Islamic jihadist.
This guy was a known loner. I personally think this guy was a loon who converted to Isalm and carried out “jihad” probably with the blessings of ISIS.
Actually Islamic jihad should be the presumption here until proven otherwise.

You are correct in the withholding part. Problem is the FBI is never consistent from case to case. In this case(Vegas) they have already allowed people to pocket money for photos and other information. Those bells can’t be unrung!

Have you read anything stating he was a Muslim from family or people who knew him? Under what circumstances do you believe he decided to become a Muslim? Are you making this assumption based on ISIS assertions? Haven’t other Muslim killers made sure to credit their devotion to allah?
I’d discount any theory that has a rich agnostic senior citizen with a serious gambling habit suddenly converting to Islam.
I don’t have a theory either but can’t help being amazed by all the weirdness!
