Police found a note in the hotel room of Stephen Paddock, the gunman behind the mass shooting in Las Vegas, that had hand-written calculations about where he needed to aim to kill as many people as possible.
In an interview that will be aired Sunday on CBS's "60 Minutes," Officer Dave Newton from the Las Vegas Police Department's K-9 unit said he noticed a note on the shooter's bedside table after officers entered the room. The note was next to one of the windows that Paddock smashed with a hammer to clear an opening to fire into the crowd from his 32nd-floor hotel suite at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
"I could see on it he had written the distance, the elevation he was on, the drop of what his bullet was gonna be for for the crowd," Newton said. "So he had had that written down and figured out so he would know where to shoot to hit his targets from there."
Using semi-automatic rifles that he modified with a "bump stop" to increase their rate of fire, Paddock on Oct. 1 killed 58 people and injured nearly 500 others. Paddock, 64, killed himself with a gun before police entered the room to find his body and 47 weapons.
More than 20,000 people were attending the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival when Paddock began shooting into the crowd, which was about 400 yards away.

Maybe, it was proven that he was a trump hater and was getting his news from MSM. Once that is revealed, the media will be checkmated for inciting violence. This is the calm before the storm?
Not a week into it and the msm is back on to bashing Trump and bringing up the old, old story with Tillerman. And Hillary! Hillary is baaaack.
If McCabe is in charge IMO he’s controlling who ‘reports’ what to whom.
Said earlier that he probably could have picked any floor 30, 31, 32, 33, 34....in that stack of special "view" suites.
I think we know for sure that there was someone right below him. Any of those floors would give him the same approximate distance and view.
It would be nice to know how many in that stack were occupied.
Let's say he broke out the windows first. Then he started trying to locate the minivan full of tannerite which let's say was supposed to be parked near the fuel storage tanks. He doesn't see it.
Having broken out the glass, he knows he is on the clock with respect to leading people back to his room. Maybe people see the glass on the ground and look up, tell hotel employees, and ultimately leads to his room.
So he just goes ahead and at least shoots up the crowd.
Lombardo looked like he hadn’t slept in days. I’m sure he has nightmares.
As E. Pluribus Unum pointed out, he offed himself at the first sign of resistance.
Brian Hodges room where the second window was broken out?? No that wasn’t his window. Paddock had the big suite and the smaller adjoining room next to the suite where he had a direct line at the fuel tanks. Pretty sure Hodge’s room was next to the smaller room Paddock had.

And maybe Paddock was not running back and forth, but a lot of people who have heard the shots including several at the concert say there were a few shots at first that sound as if they were at the fuel tanks/bouncing off them.
Then a pause, and the crowd starts getting sprayed.
Paddock could have started in the small room aiming at the fuel tanks, then when that was a bust he went to the larger adjoining suite shutting the door that adjoins both rooms behind him, locking it before closing it. And never went back into it again and stayed in the large suite shooting at the concert goers until he ended his own life.
Again it’s all speculation, but it would explain the pause between shots initially.
So how is it that 60 Minutes get a virtual exclusive on this “public police news?”
The first spurt sounds like it jammed.
SMH
It was night time. Too dark to see the van. If Paddock was gonna blow the van, it would have been deployed somewhere. Who ever has that missing rifle, was also supposed to deploy the van. Imho.
I also forgot to mention, shooting up from the ground is also difficult as well, the shooter had hotel rooms and ceilings shielding him.
>>>it was proven that he was a trump hater<<<
Proven by whom? If you are referencing the Video with the guy in the pink NASA Shirt, it has yet to be proven that it was even him.
He tried to buy tracers (I think at a gun show) shortly before the shooting, but they weren’t available.
He still had several still packed. If he was that intent, then he'd have used them.
The next wacko has now learned he needs to clean his own guns.

See this thread which has Brian Hodge telling multiple reporters he was in 32-134 next door to the shooter, and has the video panning from 32-135 to the door of 32-134 with the food cart in front of it and the wire running from under the door of Brian Hodge’s room into the corridor.
That graphic indicating that Paddock had hired two rooms, 32-135 and 32-134 appears to be wrong.
Also, the reporting I read was that Paddock asked for the Vista suite (32-135) as a comp, was put in another room at first and then moved to the Vista suite when it opened up.
I haven’t seen anything solid that Paddock was comped TWO hotel rooms next to each other.
Only a dedicated sniper in the absolute correct location could have done any good. Random shooting back towards the hotel——— NOT!
What he didn't know (from what I read) is that the fuel in those tanks don't blow easily.
