WASHINGTON — Marilou Danley, the woman investigators hoped would provide key details into the motive behind her boyfriend's deadly shooting attack, said she remembers exhibiting symptoms such as lying in bed and moaning, according to two former FBI officials who have been briefed on the matter.
"She said he would lie in bed, just moaning and screaming, 'Oh my God,'" one of the former officials said.
The other former official said Danley spoke about Paddock displaying "mental health symptoms."
Investigators believe Stephen Paddock may have been in physical or mental anguish, the sources said.
But so far the FBI has not identified a clear motive, said two FBI officials. And they do not believe Paddock's mental health had deteriorated to a point that would have triggered him to commit such an act.

You hit on a good point. Addiction, even gambling addition is harmful.
Gambling, like legal prostitution, or marijuana, or even unrestricted alcohol sales has detrimental side effects to a healthy society.
And those who prey upon the weak and feeble minded by adding to and encouraging these addictive habits should take a long hard look at themselves and see how they too share in the blame.
No, I’m not calling for a ban on gambling. Or a return to Prohibition. We could no more do that than we could ban cars which kill tens of thousands of Americans annually. But gambling is not the fun innocent exercise so many think it is.

My hunch is the earlier story was what she felt she had to say for legal purposes, so she wouldn't be charged or sued.
I think it was more "moaning and yelling," rather than "moaning and screaming" but I certainly wasn't there.
If somebody's crazy enough to kill upwards of 50 people, they could well have been screaming.

It is the media and, to some extent the entertainment industry along with the “grievance industry” that is truly responsible for these assaults.

The left is in full panic over this. When it is proved in certainty that he was radicalized. It ends the gun control debate and the domestic enemy of the republic one begins and they are screwed. The thought only makes me grin.
