According to Kimmel, gun “nuts” don’t want to talk about gun control immediately after mass shootings because they don’t want to admit that they are partly responsible for those shootings.
“I’m not going to get too deep into it tonight, I said what I had to say last night, but I do want to say something to these nuts who spent most of the day today on television attacking those of us who think we need to do something about the fact that 59 innocent people were killed,” Kimmel snarked.

I think Adam is rather conservative—maybe he kept Jimmy’s liberal tendencies in check. Or, maybe full bore (fool-bore ?) Hollywood fame went to Jimmy’s head, leading him to adopt the prevailing groupthink.

The elites could hire a vast army of foreign terrorists, arm them to the teeth with APC's, automatic rifles, grenades, etc. They could hit every type of Federal FFL on the books (including 03 C&Rs, private collectors), and take their Forms 4473 and bound books at gunpoint. Once they have the addresses of every American gun owner listed there, they could invade each and every one of their homes, and steal their guns and ammo.
They wouldn't get far without the whole thing going down in flames, but they've got the money to try. They are a power unto themselves now. So, why don't they do this?
