President Trump Ignores Scowling San Juan Mayor at Puerto Rico Relief Meeting

Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Irma and then Hurricane Maria a category 5 monster hurricane two weeks later.

Most of the leadership in Puerto Rico praised and thanked the government for the much needed aid.

But the far left San Juan Mayor Caren Yuliz Cruz Soto decided on Friday the best way to help those suffering was to go out on all of the liberal mainstream news outlets and trash President Trump.

San Juan Mayor: “I’m mad as hell because my people’s lives are at stake… We are dying, and you (Trump) are killing us with inefficiency”

The San Juan mayor accused FEMA and President Trump of offering her no help. She said this in front of a pallet of US aid.

On Saturday FOX News contributor Geraldo Rivera interviewed Mayor Cruz and then tweeted this.

Ouch!

#SanJuanMayor says residents are “dying,” & somehow @realDonaldTrump is to blame. I’m here. Who is dying? Why? Where? Let me help save them.

— Geraldo Rivera (@GeraldoRivera) September 30, 2017

San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz is a staunch Democrat who supported Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election.

On Tuesday President Trump visited Puerto Rico to observe the hurricane damage and relief updates.

The far left San Juan Mayor is in the room scowling at the US president.

She looks annoyed and did not look at him.

President Trump shook Mayor Cruz’s hand when he entered the meeting.

….and we have the awkward handshake between Trump and San Juan Mayor Cruz … he didn’t address her in his remarks https://t.co/uZ5UBAZ0QV

Is this the same pendeja who was criticizing Trump a few days ago while standing in front of pallets of aid and supplies from the US?

I think I heard on FoxNews on Sunday that this mayor had been missing the meetings about hurricane recovery.

PR is a welfare state funded by the USA. Like most radical left fools, this mayor takes it for granted. Not smart enough to keep her mouth shut. But what is new???

It is going to turn out that the best thing to happen to this Island will have been Hurricane Maria. The US will come in a rebuild the infrastructure beyond where it was prior (corruption not withstanding).

Trump comparing the death count in Puerto Rico to the death count in a "real catastrophe like Katrina"...

I'm pretty sure that this was also a "real catastrophe" to the people of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. I wish the President would think a little more before he speaks. The Democrats are going to have a field day with this.

Trump met many people like this during his campaign. Sometimes you just have to ignore their attention getting antics, the way you would ignore a three year old making fart noises at the dinner table. Ignore them during the dinner, that is.

Hopefully he’ll ignore the emotion driven, blood ain’t dry yet calls for gun “conversations”. Already contacted my two senators, my HOR critter and DJT this morning. As if it will do any good. But, I still got hope.

He’s said what he has to say about her pathetic performance. The entire island is in a state of “can’t do”.

They can’t get the trucks because they can’t alert the drivers because they don’t have power so the cel towers are down. They could not, for example, ask drivers to report to obvious master distribution points on a daily basis, nor require them to have battery powered radios that the gov’t broadcasting service could broadcast to. No. That would be $10 radios and $3 worth of batteries.

They can’t drive the trucks because they don’t have fuel. Nobody could have foreseen that lacking electric power, fuel pumps do not work.

They can’t drive the trucks because many of the roads are washed out or blocked with debris they cannot clear because the construction gear required would also require fuel.

But she can get T-shirts printed up with her pleas for help and accusations of everyone else being at fault. While she fails to attend the meetings held to coordinate the distribution of aid.

They of course could not stockpile any fuel. Because they didn’t know the storm was coming. Right. Nor could they pre-position any generators. And they couldn’t foresee that the distribution of aid would be required after the storm passed. Nobody could have foreseen that. Too much to ask.

They can’t do squat, they didn’t know squat, they can’t plan squat. And the mayor and her underlings are withholding food per reports and trying to sell it.

Oh, and by the way, had they not kicked the USN out of Viequas the ships would have been there days sooner.

How many of these problems are supposed to be solved by someone else? What the hell else is new, do you have to have a full-on socialist welfare state to achieve the elite theft cabal that operates without regard to the general welfare or is a semi-socialist state sufficient?
