Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) called for Congress to get off its ass and do something about gun violence after a deadly Las Vegas mass shooting that left at least 50 people dead.
Murphy, who emerged as a leading figure in the push for gun control legislation after the deadly mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in his state of Connecticut, said it was positively infuriating that Congress had failed to pass laws to stop gun violence.
Nowhere but America do horrific large-scale mass shootings happen with this degree of regularity. Last nights massacre may go down as the deadliest in our nations history, but already this year there have been more mass shootings than days in the year, Murphy said in a statement.
This must stop. It is positively infuriating that my colleagues in Congress are so afraid of the gun industry that they pretend there arent public policy responses to this epidemic. There are, and the thoughts and prayers of politicians are cruelly hollow if they are paired with continued legislative indifference. Its time for Congress to get off its ass and do something, Murphy said.

Whites shooting whites is not a big deal with the MSMLSD; but then neither is black on black shootings like in Chicago. What is important to them is cops shooting blacks.
Say good bye to:
Suppressors coming off NFA
National CCW
body armor
online, bulk ammo purchases
.22LR (just as it was becoming available)
Cheap AR15s
slide fire stocks
Echo II Triggers
trigger modifcations
Akins stocks
drum magazines
linked ammo
...and whatever you else you can think of.
These laws violate both the Constitution and common sense.
Ah liberals.
The very definition of stereotypical.
Wrong. I know guys that legally own .50 cal M2 Browning MGs.
This shooting clearly triggered Murphy’s PTSD from all that time he didn’t spend in Vietnam.
533 homicides so far this year.
4 homicides over the weekend.
15 homicides last week.
57 homicides last month.
Black lives DON'T matter.
He’s a good candidate for tar, feathers, and a fence-rail.
Somebody clue Murphy in on the class 111 stamp criteria.
What are you going to do Murphy? Disarm us? Go ahead and try.
Never let a tragedy go to waste — leftist truism
We should make murder illegal/ sarcasm
Rhat’s politely telling him
Yes they can. I have several. Most states allow legal Title 2 NFA firearms. People are VERY ignorant on this subject because it is quite a rarity. 330mm people, and only 1.7mm guns in the NFA registry. (NFRTR)
Technically, with the right paperwork, you can own anything you want, you just have to get DOS ITAR fees, NRC, and gov't contracts. But that is for he big boys: LMT, Northrop, Boeing, Raytheon, Thael, BAE, GE, etc. They all have large defense mfg operations.
Congress needs a discussion on leftist violence... but as usual Rinos will hand them the narrative just as they handed them the Russia narrative against Trump and not Hillary as the topic of conversation.
The political peocess is broken, nay, it is a joke and a fraud.
We need a Convention against the seditionists (in and out of government, foreign or domestic) and the Incompetent.
I heard that a corporation can petition to borrow automatic weapins and arsenals of all kinds.
Let’s send a very strong protest against anyone who defies the law against automatic weapons. Good thinking, Link Murphy!
Yes, but they are technically heavily restricted, virtually banned, not the stuff liberals claim we can buy more easily than a book.
Form 10 weapons can go to FFL and govt/leo entities real easy. Most large corporations with a defense contract just make their own.
This whole attack has nothing to do with gun legislation or silencer legislation or micro stamping, but every thing DESPITE IT.
Liberals double down on the seditionism in our rights to go to concert being attacked with our rights to defend ourselves, essentially blaming the victims and the vixtims’ rights!
