Just breaking. A lot of repots on Twitter from people.
True Pundit reported this:
An active shooter reportedly on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay bar Hotel in Las Vegas has gunned down at least one police officer and others.
The cops at the press conference said numerous weapons were in the hotel room. Hard to tell at the distances and buildings, but some of the shots sound pretty heavy like a .308. But as another Freeper mentioned, some guy said his friend was shot three times in the chest and they took him to the hospital - so that probably wasn’t .308 rounds.
If I was looking to do bad I wouldn’t use a drum or belt-fed myself, but with these nutcases, they mostly know what they see in the movies.
Something about that automatic fire at the concert doesn’t sound quite right but I have no idea what’s going on. Sounds like a heavier caliber than 5.56 though - maybe 300 Blackout.
Theory - she was in the room with shooter, and possibly others. Got spooked (or whatever) then went to concert area warning “you are all going to die tonight”.
I do have first hand knowledge, having helped plan two humongous Vegas events this year (35,000+ people). There are no metal detectors at any hotel lobby entrance or guest room areas that I know of in any hotel.
Pathetic misguided rant
Many hotels let monthly tenants and guests once they have a garage card go direct to the residential floors from the garage.
Our son plays festivals for his living. His band does over 200 per year.
It may be he was in the process of getting divorced from Margaret Okamoto Paddock, listed at the same address in Cerritos CA
It’s odd that no information has come out on Stephen Paddock - what did he do for a living? No social media entries by him? Did he have a criminal record?
Something doesn’t add up.
Don't think so. Slide fire stock methinks. Possibly an auto glove. Probably pre positioned a few rifles with drums and picked up another weapon rather than reload.
First one was a 50-75 rd drum while music playing. Very slow reload to the next magazine. Probably not a second shooter which would start firing when the other shooter stops. Very VERY slow reload. Probably a slide fire stock or auto-glove that makes semi's bump fire (similar to full auto) and hard to reload.
There is a video on twitter that makes me believe this is an auto glove due to variable ROF (rate of fire) going up and down. Either that or there were two rifles being shot at once.
Methinks this will be the weapon. Semi auto AR 15 with belt fed upper (accessory) with a bump fire stock (slidefire)...possibly an auto glove.
I highly doubt he used ATF form 4d weapons.
I was puzzling over the sound of the shots sounding weird. Cell phones mics and digital processing along with the shape of building involved are probably the cause of the strangeness.
We’re pretty much stuck with the news sources we have, but this was no spur of the moment shooting. Nor was it a piece of cake to pull off. It took some planning, execution, and a lot of intent.
Country music fans, by and large, tend to be average Americans, and in my experience, a bit on the conservative side, in general.
I’m happy for you.
Totally agreed. The truth will out.
Pics of Marilou possibly with Steven in Dubai. Sounds like a sugar-daddy affair gone wrong. This may be why she found out and then tried to get everyone out of the concert. This guy was at the end of his rope and was out to kill.
There were also echoes bouncing off the buildings that might have led witnesses to believe there were two shooters and/or variable rates of fire.
Not proof by any means, but something to keep in mind in the background.
Why didn’t she just call the police?
She probably did. Who knows. I’m sure whatever this is is going to be stranger than fiction.
