I live near Dallas. On the news this AM, Dez Bryant spilled the beans about why the cowboys kneeled before the anthem, and locked arms during. Apparently they were told it was to "send a message to Trump".
Note: Not to protest "the pigs" like Komrade Kolin Kapernic did, or to support BLM (after the 5 cops got murdered in Dallas by the BLM organizer's brother), but A POLITICAL MESSAGE to TRUMP.
Evidently ESPN disease has infected the NFL. Let 'em know what you think at the link

Thanks for posting; I’m gonna tell him off...
Done, thanks for the link.
What % of Cowboys’ fans does Jerry Jones think voted for Hillary? Seems he made the fatal mistake of thinking that the editorial board of the Dallas Morning News reflects the political views of the Dallas fan base. Moron.
He looked like an a$$ out there on his knees. Tell the idiot that this is America, we bend the knee before no living man.
Or the Dallas Cowgirl/it Pussies!
FReeped.

I swear those idiots at dmn moonlight as editors for politico and the sf chronicle.
And that horrid liberal pig jackie floyd should be shipped to Cuba permanently.
And was Dez able to articulate what “that message” was? Kaep did a piss-poor job of it, in my opinion. It seemed to be more about what his SJW girlfriend believed than anything.
If you can’t say what it is you’re “protesting”, maybe you should cut it out?
Have a nice ride on the cart with Yeb, Jerry Fans.
my form of “protest” is to boycott the NFL, and the cow-wardly cowboys in particular.

Here’s what I wrote:
“Jerry Jones: Where was “unity” in previous years when some began to dishonor the American Flag by kneeling during the national Anthem? Why were you and the rest of your organization not on the field back then to show unity in support of HONORING the flag and America for which the flag stands? Why does “unity” only become an issue now in the move to dishonor the flag and America? And why do you and the rest of your organization go on the field during the national anthem only now to show support for unity in DISHONORING the flag and America?”
Rush L played an audio of Kapernick (sp?) last year when he took the knee that his protest in his own words is AGAINST THE FLAG.
Too many of these players have allowed themselves to get caught up in these protests without actually finding out what they are protesting.
LEMMINGS.
” they were told it was to “send a message to Trump”.”
It was? Okay, where the hell were they back in the 60’s when all colors of people were being slaughtered.
Don’t try to think people are that stupid that they buy a we are saying something when they did nothing during the Obama’s administration who was actively trying to do things, wrong as they were, on this topic.
The administration mishandling of the Gates incident, and the Martin and Brown shootings are perfect examples of the mishandle and, I feel, an attempt to incite more violence, by Obama and his justice department.
And the expectancy of the players to be supported by the owners in their acts of political lobbying, which has nothing to do with the game, and if done correctly outside of the contest, stays within the confines of their contract agreement on behavior, is just plain pandering.
It just gets worse. And until it hits them in the pocketbook: owners, players, television and radio companies, sponsors, and the local bars and restaurants that supply the games, because people won’t support it, you won’t see this crap end. But when it does when the teams can’t pay their bills, it will quietly just fade into space. The will try to sneak out of the failure like a thief in the night. Nothing but crickets from the press.

I was surprised to see Jerry Jones down there with the players, kneeling.
But then, the way they were splitting hairs, was to say they knelt as a team before the anthem, then stood as a team for the anthem. So they are trying to have it both ways, placate the liberals and black activists who are pushing these protests, while trying to placate the rest of us, who are upset about protesting our flag and country in this manner.
I doubt that they can have it both ways.
The US flag represents all of the people in all 50 states (the stars) and the bloody struggle (red stripes) to throw off the tyrannical English King George III and the original 13 colonies (13 stripes)
