A very decent act for sure.
A very good QB on the field (Patriots fan here), very good person in life. I hope he doesn’t get success poisoning and ruin himself.
He beat us fair and square as far as I am concerned.
This is how professional sports players should be.
Reminds me of Earl Campbell and ‘Bum’ Phillips.
Perhaps 90% pf the players in the NFL are good decent human beings, and wold be exemplary people in any other walk of life.
But there is a small minority that feels like they have been badly wronged in some manner or another, and they have chosen to express that slight to their dignity by disrespecting the national anthem, the US Flag, and the fans who whole-heartedly support all that the Stars and Stripes stands for. When asked just WHY they show such disrespect, doubling down on it, their claim is that they a) hate Trump; b) hate the law enforcement officers all over America; or c) just hate Whitey and “white supremacy” in general. Or maybe all three.
But the flag and the anthem exist apart from these “concerns”, though they may be tied up most intricately with those same “concerns”. Disrespect to the US Flag, or the national anthem, is totally inappropriate, and should be stopped immediately, with a humble and contrite apology to the rest of the NFL fan base, or what there is left of it.
He should be the rule not the exception in the NFL. His mother seems to have raised him as a good man and American.
Pretty cool!
Bravo!
True patriotism in every good sense of the word.
He and his mom lived in a house donated by Warrick Dunn, who himself is one of most decent human beings who ever played the game of football. Nice to see Watson is giving back and I have no doubt he will continue helping others.
Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger, no Coke, Pepsi.
This is a commendable act of charity that doesn’t excuse his mendacious employers. Nevertheless, good job Mr. Watson.
This Gamecock fan commends Mr Watson, setting the example that hopefully others will follow
Actually walkin’ the walk, not just talkin’ the talk like Colin Humperdinckie, et al.
Way to give back.
Good job, Deshaun.
Interesting. MLB minimum is $536,000.
I can’t read this without thinking cynically, so I’ll just say “glad these women got some help.”
Good story.
Good thing that he made his fortune in college.
What a cool young man and example to others. Honestly, if it were myself at that age, I would have already pissed it away on blingy stuff.
