Two Chicago police officers who kneeled alongside an activist in a social media photograph that went viral will face disciplinary action for making a political statement while in uniform, a department spokesman said.
Activist Aleta Clarke posted the photo on Instagram Sunday, showing two police officers kneeling alongside her, with all three raising their fists.
In her caption to the photo with the officers, Clarke, who posts on Instagram under the name @englewoodbarbie, wrote “That Moment when you walk into the police station and ask the Men of Color are they Against Police Brutality and Racism & they say Yes... then you ask them if they support Colin Kapernick... and they also say yes... then you ask them to Kneel.!"
The picture had 1,926 'likes' by Tuesday morning.
Chicago Police Department spokesman, Anthony Guglielmi, told the Chicago Tribune that the officers had been disciplined and reminded of department policies banning political statements while in uniform.

I was wondering when the black power salute would be part of the program.
Anybody bother to ask them what they’re taking the knee for? This all started to protest police brutality. Are those guys protesting police brutality? Or just President Trump? Or maybe they’re just trying to piss off white people? I don’t know and I doubt they even know.
Only in Chicago would a police officer show support for attacking and disrespecting police officers.
Where else could you find this level of stupid? Are they on bath salts?

Mind boggling. Cops protesting themselves. BLM ignoring more blacks are killed by blacks. Athletes protesting freedoms awarded to them to toss a ball around for 6 figures (I’ve been corrected that it’s 8!). Black politicians claiming oppression by da man when they’re da man.
So when they gets shot by some BLM activist, we’re supposed to feel sorry for em??? I stand by law enforcement, but law enforcement needs to stand up for the America, not kneel for a bunch of cop killers.

Those two are apparently too stupid to realize that Chicago street gangs would not give a crap what their politics are, and would target them on the street because they are wearing a police uniform.
Although maybe those two, assume since they have been given inside spots at a police station, that they won’t have to patrol the streets, where they would have a target on their back like real police.

I was wondering why,since the central grievance is police,that these crybabies generally don't protest and burn down police stations and mayors offices. Well the simple answer is that,as we see here,the police and mayors,overwhelmingly Democrat, are part of it. There is a staggering amount of black on black violence in Chicago,every other black ghetto in America and throughout the world. Let's cut the BS and PC. They always blame whitey and will never own up to anything. They are the weakest and among the missing links.
This “taking a knee” was obnoxious when it started and is now getting to be torturous.
The issue is, what exactly are they kneeling about in the first place? This whole thing goes back to Ferguson and the whole “hands up, don’t shoot” fabrication. These people are propagandizing as many American people as they can into believing the narrative that cops are deliberately and indiscriminately shooting down innocent young black men all over the country, which is utter nonsense.
This weekend dramatically exposed the NFL’s support for BLM and to show they’re not going to stand for a flag that represented such injustice. Make it be known the NFL supports cop killers of BLM and the violent thugs of ANTIFA who are also connected to BLM.
This would be like the NFL in the 60s/70s supporting black panthers or weather underground or something like that.
The NFL is now supporting or in unity with two groups who are just as violent and radical.
